IMPACT AND OPPORTUNITIES OF ESG/CSRD FOR CITIES | Prof. Dr. Caroline Nevejan, Chief Science Officer, City of Amsterdam
Over the past two years we have developed with Berlin and, in particular, with the City of Amsterdam a new CSRD & ESG strategy for cities. The outcome of our research is an evidence-based collaboration methodology creating more impact for cities and more value for funders - while delivering more opportunities for social and civic initiatives.
Our goal is to create a network of stakeholder keen to de-risk ESG investments while offering cities new capabilities around data, governance and ESG capacity tools to collaborate more efficient
The ESG INNOVATION COLLECTIVE, the world’s first city-led ESG task force has initiated in 2022 a cross-sector collaboration framework driving the environmental and social sustainability agenda forward enabling its stakeholders to become more resilient and future-proof.
This ‘S of ESG’ focused framework is based on new analysis of data, new technologies (DAO) and insights from our dedicated cross-sector stakeholders from academia, finance, governance, ESG regulated companies and social projects sharing their operational, real-life stories enabling us to launch our pilot programme in 2024.
