With regards to the Chubby stuff - surely it’s as simple as if you don’t like it you don’t go to it. People are been cancelled on other people’s say so, most who complain have probably never even seen him. The few are controlling the majority and people are offended over nothing (Ricky Gervais with the guitar lesson thing on Twitter sums it up) Also it is dangerous really, because what comes next?? Every single person can find fault in every comedy so it could be the end for it. We have to be able to laugh at ourselves and each other or else what’s the point

I think the issue is more with the audience than the comic. People who have a good sense of humour can laugh at racially insensitive jokes and other offensive matters but generally don't have an agenda against the people who are being picked on and would stick up for them if they were actually being targeted in a sinister matter. The people who go to watch Roy Chubby Brown just want to feel in a safe space where people can say offensive stuff and they feel vindicated because they are told off for saying those things (without a punchline) in reality. By letting him perform, you are allowing the people who go to his shows to feel validated in their racist/ignorant views and this leads to increased hostility against minorities. He's the ex-National Front/EDL/Britain First/BNP's favourite mainstream comedian and that's all you need to know about why councils are deciding it sends out a bad message by having him perform. For the record, I am completely against comedians getting "cancelled" for jokes. It's good to make humour out of sinister situations. But pandering to a bunch of far-right nationalists and furthering their hatred is a lot more sinister than just "telling jokes". Although of course they won't think of themselves as far-right, they just hold all the same views lol.

Just look at sacha baron cohen charactor borat. His material speaks for its self also. Don't get me wrong I'm very far from racist but I agree with what Freddie says if the artist finds it funny then why should they not be able to say it or express it. Take it for what it is .there's a difference between Joe blogs on the street making these jokes and a established comedian making the jokes just my opinion on the matter. @@chickenliver I've been a fan of Mr vasey for a very long time from when he was very mainstream performing sell out crowds at major venues and having his own movies out .to now performing at smaller venues with smaller crowds. And his content has never changed . My issue is that when he was massive he didn't have all this oh u can't say cunt oh u can't say splitarse. It seems now he's a smaller act he gets shit oh u can't say this oh u can't say that .I just don't see what people's problems are .he's always been the same. Maybe it's the changing of the times that his material is maybe not so socially acceptable. But surely the giza should have some sort of grandad rights he's been doing this shit for decades.

I wish someone would tell adam to stop pointlessly lying when tell stories.
