Your stonework is so beautiful and you work so speedily and yet precisely. You mentioned previously that these shelters are used by travellers and nomads and I can see from some of your previous videos evidence of sites that have been well used - soot on the stone from many previous fires or crude walls that you demolished and rebuilt, so I'm wondering if this is a tradition of building shelters that you have refined and improved and if you ever get any feedback from the people who use them after you've gone. Man, I absolutely love your videos! They’ve inspired me so much that I actually went out into the mountains and tried building a shelter in the same style as yours. I’m not done yet, though. Right now, I’m at the stage where I’m filling in the holes with mud and all that. For the chimney, I haven’t built the muddy part yet, but I’ve left a hole in the wall where I plan to have it. It got really cold, so I started a fire inside, but the wind kept changing direction. Sometimes the chimney worked fine, but other times the smoke just poured back into the shelter and escaped through the door. Do you think this will be fixed once I build the muddy, circular chimney? Or is there something else I should do? I have zero experience with this-it’s my first shelter ever. If you could share any tips on how to keep the smoke from coming inside, that would be amazing. Will the muddy chimney solve the problem? If not, what should I try? The area is super windy, and the wind direction keeps shifting all the time.

Hello dear friend I am very happy that you started your business, this is the first sign of your high motivation I did not see your video to comment, but I will give some tips that are somewhat effective The taller the chimney, the better its performance will be, and place the chimney as far as possible where it is not exposed to wind Definitely filling the holes and vents with mud will increase its performance because if the chimney has holes, the air flow will not pass through it well so that the smoke can go up Another point is that the chimney should be placed above the fireplace so that the hot air that wants to go up has a direct path and works well Keep at it and you'll get it! I'd suggest focusing on creating a tight seal around the door and any gaps where smoke might enter. It's important to make sure your fire is positioned correctly for the chimney to work well. Let me know if you have any more questions!
