My seat broke as well Those bolts and screws will loosen constantly. I put blue lock tight on and help out a lot

Watched both videos as I’m in the market for a shack. I have a full size pickup and I haul my ATV n the bed. Do you think this would possibly fit on a cargo tray that secures into the receiver hitch? I don’t want to buy a trailer… any feedback would be useful.

Have you had a problem with the red clips on the pole? The spring in mine broke and I don’t know how to fix it.
@SgtOutdoors11 ай бұрын
I have not. But they are very simple contraptions when you take them apart, maybe you can find a bit more heavy spring to put back in.

Great detail, thank you!! How’s the flipover doing? Since owning the 2600 have you had any issues with the pole locking mechanisms slide in or any issues with the flipover at all? Anything you’d change/improve?
@SgtOutdoors Жыл бұрын
I still love the flip over! One of the seat bolts broke, easy fix to put a new one in. The slide mechanisms are doing great other than the last bar, I had stepped on it and bent it. I did my best to straighten it out, but it still gives me a little trouble. My only "wish" list would be to install brighter lights or sew some in like I have done on all my pop ups. But I'm very satisfied with everything else with this shack, still highly recommend if your wish lists are similar to mine! Good luck on the ice!

I built a ski lift sled to pull mine by hand, it's a whopping 97 pounds with no extra gear! Trying to figure how to lose the steel framing and keep the comfortable seats.

@@SgtOutdoors do you (or will you) re-screw it every year? They say to take the whole skin off for storage but I also don’t imagine putting holes in the skin every year is great for it either.

AWESOME Video. I watched your video when you bought it and now your review. Can you tell me where you got the flooring from?
@SgtOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Northland Tool, the rubber flooring is pretty cheap there.

Great review! As soon as I wrap up my research paper I'll be pulling the Otter out and getting it ready. I'm thinking about a smitty sled this year, I pull by hand (for now). I may build a track sled or get a snow dog to tow my gear. Nylon lock nuts might help keep the hardware tight too. Tight lines bud, be safe!
@philipdove17052 жыл бұрын
Is there room in the sled for all the fishing gear? Augers chainsaws etc?
@SgtOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
I think so. Should be plenty of room in and then on top of for everything you need.

Perfect timing to see this video Sgt.!!! Planning on putting my 2600 together in the next couple of days with a friend of mine!! A couple of questions for ya. How far down is your floor from the top of the sled!! I see you don't have the support bar holders anywhere. What size bolts did you end up using for the chairs? One last thing. Wonder if using Loctite on the screws for the frame and bolts when putting it together would help keep them coming loose during the season? I know it might be tedious at first. Thanks!!!!
@SgtOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
I put the floor about 1in 1/2 to 2 in down. I put the support holders on the top of the seat bars. I don't know what size bolt I used. I just had one laying around the garage I put in. Loctite would work perfect! I'll probably do that tonight. I'll probably add Loctite to all my seat bolts as well. Thanks for saying that out loud!

Why did you take the skin off? You didn't screw the skin to the tub?

I’ve got a question In regards to the proper collapsing of the shack at end of day. I collapse the shack like I think it should be but find it very wide on top of the tub, to the point where I can barely get the travel cover on. Am I missing something? Or am I not collapsing it properly.
@SgtOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
I don't have a travel cover, so I'm not sure. But there is really only one way to collapse it.
