Wow, that was amazing! I can't remember the last time I've seen a match where they played until the entire map ran out of money! And the fact that neither player was throwing any punches during the whole game in a tournament match is just incredible.

crazy good siege position....using the buildings and a PF at the south end, MVP constantly forced dimaga into chokes and maintained his thors which were his primary damage dealers

Game 2 really shows how op terran is, no other race can turtle like that, and always have an easy answer to everything zerg can throw at them.

I thought Dimaga played really well mechanically. He probably needed a little bit more creativity to break MVP in Game 2. I'm really glad for MVP to have won though. He really showed great resilience and is truly one of best in the world.

God I hate Terran. I get it, I get it, "They require the most Micro"... but seriously? They get EVERYTHING. Harass, cheap 1supply units, mech, bio, master of air, master of ground with tanks... backdoor drops, the list goes on...

2nd Game: Dimaga could have held his army back before going up against siege tanks and do big zergling drops in his base, because MVP needed his vikings centered against the threat of a zerg push. But it´s always easier as a spectator. Great game though. Those mules...

Yes, a match that happened several months ago in which Mvp, the king of wings, almost lost to Dimaga, who is an excellent player, don't get me wrong, but just isn't in the same caliber, and only probably won because Dimaga forgot that swarmhost exist is a good example of Terran OP ness. If anything, it shows how weak Mech is in TvZ.

mvp is so strong that only another korean can beat him. The rest of the world no match vs him. 2nd round , he gives 'chance' and turtle up and Dimaga with 4000+ gold still cannot breach his base as a Zerg. MVP really that powerful...lol

Don't really understand why everybody says 2nd game was so great. For me it was a long, painful see-saw among the two and with that effort DIMAGA put into the game he should've won it. Basically MVP just turtled all the time, but DIMAGA should've also used some swarmhosts or drops on top of the tanks. Can anyone tell why ventral sacs not used anymore nowadays? I've read a thread on Liquipedia but still. :)

+plszuts Dimaga played well up until one point. When he realised that the terran was doing mech only he should have gotten like 15 mutas and harass scvs or kill tanks with them. Mutas beat vipers in any terran matchup and besides he didn't do that much with the vipers except waste time and resources. Mutas was the key, but early on, when he first saw the batallion of siege tanks. Look at TLO: every time he played mutas against teran he won. MUTA FTW!

the balance of HOTS is so screwed up that I just stopped playing... this is coming from a person who started playing starcraft since 1999 and loved it until before the release of HOTS... the win ratio on the various leagues really shouldn't be the only indicator of how balanced the game is designed because I have a feeling that many beginners and bad players tend to play Terran, as the turtle style is better suited for bad players.

TERRAN IS OP'D AS HELL. Okay now that I got everyone's attention let me state this. On game 2 MVP went mech against zerg, which is unheard of in SC2. If you go mech against zerg you will need the skill and confidence to do so. If you lack any then you will lose to viper pulls and clouds. MVP won that because he is a really strong Terran player that had confidence and skill to do so. If any lower Terran went mech against Dimaga they would be destroyed. MVP is a very skilled player that can pull stuff like this and people shouldn't under credit his work by calling Terran and putting aside his victory as winning with an advantage. So her is the think. People can shout Terran, Zerg, Protoss is op'd, but here is the thing-- if you have 2 utility knifes that are the same, and gave the knifes to 2 different subjects (one that is an expert, one who never used one before). Who do you think will make the best use of that utility knife? The expert obviously. MVP dodged the fungles, he micro'd his tanks, he managed his mules and SCVs, he managed his drops, he had the right tech, he scouted correctly, and HE DID MANY OTHER THINGS to win. TL;DR Terran not op'd. MVP op'd. Game 2 Terran handy cap, still won. MVP makes Terran look op'd. Noob terran go bio all the time. Zerg op'd in bronze (zergling, multa, baine +a move= gg). Mule not op'd. Inject and Chrono is just as good. Shut up. I think warp-in is bs. Since BW, I thought Zerg larva concept was bs, but you see me whine? Nope. Go crap in diaper! Have Good Day! Bugs Hate Fire I was a Plat/Dia (some master) player on the EU server, I never played DIMAGA but most of the zergs I ran into played pretty much like DIMAGA and I got my ass handed to me with basically every biobuild I had (which is a alot) and I had to come up with something new and it's like MVPs but more efficient. Since I know zergs end game, I just build Thors, Hellbats, MMM and a couple tanks. After some funky sc2 judo game sense on what upgrade to push, your army is just a huge pain in the ass to deal with by 13:20. Leaving a Thor at main to protect against muta harass, you're free to project force and really be quite rude to Zerg. The army is mainly biomech (marauders, hellbats, marines) with 3-5 medivacs and the strictly mech units are the backbone, so keeping them alive is quite important. The build gives a Terran player with solid macro and good micro the ability to strike like a shot from heaven, wherever and basically whenever they want against a zerg opponent. But I still lost with it when I faced an opponent who could keep me off balance with constant harrassment. Constant Harrassment. This is what distinguishes good play from brilliant play. Constantly bugging the shit out of your opponent to make them miss drones/probes/scvs, overlords/pylons/depots and shutting down expansions. idk y ppl don't get this

Domicile229 I can't see what you are trying to say. Are you agreeing or disagreeing? I don't see your point. I am saying, do not discredit MVP and call it a win with an op'd race. In my eyes all the races are op'd. The problem is that people don't know how to use everything well. DIMAGA was good, but he made very big mistakes. If he didn't make those mistakes he would of steamed rolled MVP. MVP also didn't go with the traditional MMM build. Instead he went mech, which is completely unique and different play style. I give him credit for playing a non-main steam build and not relying on old reflexes (splitting) to win the game. After playing a lot of different games-specifically lol- I learned that uniqueness is not OP. It takes time to adapt to new builds especially this new mech bio play style. Uniqueness is not OP'd. In the end there is a way to counter it.

game 2 was entertaining, I don't see the point to all the bitching. I enjoy an interesting game rather than complaining about the play. Why do people keep with the race is OP crap. Just look at rankings and see that the race selection is pretty diverse. Life is ranked #1 in WCS and is playing Zerg. Is it because Zerg is OP, or is it perhaps because Life is the best player at the moment? ;)
