at this point XG and most of the qualified teams (in Riyadh) don't really care anymore whether they win or not. The patch in the middle of a tournament messes up all their gameplay and it's more like they just want to test and get some ideas about the patch by playing it in a pro scene rather trying to win the tournament,

XG is clearly as skilled as the top teams but their draft is an issue (though they might also be experimenting). Not sure how they were going to win either game against 3 tanky cores (which is such a consistent strat of Falcons) with either of their drafts.

Game 1, xtreme got all the wrong items. nothing against timber, no mageslayer, no vessel(2 cheap items that's possible to buy even in hard games), no skadi, no blood thorn, no nullifier, even orb of corrosion wouldve done something. They got midases and aghs... reminded a bit how timber stomps in pub if people don't buy items that counter him.

Gaimin Gladiators is also strong. They're currently undefeated, same as Falcon. So to say it's imba for Falcon is utterly wrong. The whole team made of top tier players. AUI_2000 is pretty good at theory crafting, drafting and coaching. Meaning, they can adept to the new patch very fast, it's the same thing during TI11 with Tundra's Wraith Pact. Remember that ? Also, Sneyking is a good captain and drafter, Malrine is just top tier midlaner, Ammar is also one of the best offlaners, and Skitter is overall a good carry.

dota has always been about picking the overpowered heroes, welcome to brand new patch. shit will be broken and weird for a while and then after a couple of months we won't remember what it was like before innates and facets were a thing. same thing happened with the expanded map, neutral items, dedicated tp slot, 5 couriers, so on and so forth.

I think it stems from the allchat during Elite league. There's no beef just trashtalk between the two orgs. Falcons love to get chirpy. I think it was in one map, Malrine was all chatting a lot, and then again, when it looked like they were winning, but XG turned it around, and then when XG got the "GG" on game 4 after 54 minutes, Ame paused the game and XG dropped all kinds of all chat on them, which was hilarious. Then Ammar changed his name on steam to ProfessionalClown, kind of like when Aster called him ATM.

You can say you won't miss people but most players are casual and mid to low ranked, grinders and high ranks are much less in number, losing casual players will kill the game. Do you remember what happened to pro scene in Overwatch, Age of Empires, etc. Adding broken units and heroes ruins the game and causes casuals to lose interest. There is a reason League has much higher player count than Dota even though Dota is a much much much better game. I usually like patches but this one is horrendous. But it doesn't matter it's not like I am going to be a pro and neither are you, I just don't want the game to lose players.
