ESM Sea Fury maiden flight

We have custom-made lead Ring ( Half ) in front portion of cowl , then attached by twin arms to upper standoff of Inverted Engine , which create the most effective counterweight for typical warbird C.G., and hopefully it is also a damping force against Vibration of Gas Engine .

We put ~ 1.5Kg for balance , the CG is quite standard factory setting !

E.T. Huang, Did you have to add any extra weight up front using the DLE 55RA? Any issues with this plane since your maiden 4 months ago?

Yes,This is ESM 50cc Sea Fury. The engine model is DLE55RA.

What CG did you go with? How much weight did it take to balance it?

Where did you mount the weight? I use nearly 4lbs at 130mm for cg

So what is the all-up weight of the aircraft, not including fuel?

Is this a 50 cc ESM model? Please tell us what engine you have in it....

Yes , we did add up another 400g weight for CG optimization !

So if someone fitted say a Saito 60R3 radial, the weight would be much better balanced, as the 60R3 is 1800g less ignition, and the DLE55 is around 1300?
