I have been a boxer and a major boxing fan since birth, and I know boxing. I even met Sugar Ray back in Bates College, Lewiston, Maine, 1979 just before he had one of his 1st pro fights against a guy named Iron-Jaw Prado(ko 1st round). Great fighter, great memories. Mayweather is giving boxing a bad name. He knows this is a huge fan-draw, but he fucks with very name of the sport by not giving the fans what WE know is needed: a conclusion to a perfect matchup.

As a Mexican/American, I'm always rooting for the Mexican fighter no matter if he wins or loses. I'm not making this a racial thing though, being Mexican is a cultural phenomenon. No one can choose their race, but being proud of your culture is all the individual's decision. I felt i had to express my thoughts on the race issue, because there are a lot of ignorant people posting inappropriate racist comments.

Although he didn't look sharp in his last fight, I think this fight will make him rise to the occasion. Still, I'm with you. Not unusual for a fighter to be "damaged goods" after devastating defeats. Back to the fight predictions of Pacman vs Margarito. I honestly think Margarito has the upper hand in this fight. Why? Pacman's concentration isn't 100% on the fight, now that he's a politician. Judging from HBO's 24/7, Pacman's training isn't going so well. While Margarito's training and determination seems pretty solid. With respect to Pacman, I predict a Margarito win. I've spoken my peace, no more talk from me, I'm just waiting for the results on fight night. May the best man win!!!

@boxing1000 Yes I think Paul Williams just scares all of the famous 147/156 fighters. The reslut? Paul gets no Pay per view, no shots at the big name fighters and not even favorable mention from the HBO announcers. If you watch his fights against Martinez or Cintron you can hear the HBO guys praise and get excited at every punch landed - unless Williams was the one landing it. Paul should verbally harass PacMan like Telesco did to Roy Jones Jr and Mosley did to Mayweather. It seems to work!

I've never understood why height makes any difference anyway. a short guy at 147 should have more inside leverage and throw more compact punches as well. Pacman giving up 8 inches to Williams does not matter. Williams deserves a shot, Cheato does not. Boxing brings new sadness every year with these illogical match-ups. Williams should go public every way he can to press these famous boxers into fighting him. Either that or gain weight and fight Robert Stieglitz setting up for Andre Ward.
