ESO Academy - How to use Dizzy Swing Properly

Nice video dude! When i 1st started playing 3-4 years ago i use to get so frustrated trying to land a dizzy swing. One huge tip i have for new players or anyone thats having issues landing a dizzy is to simply take a step or 2 backwards when you cast it. A lot of the time people make the mistake of getting too close to a target which can result in 1 of 2 issues (1) they get so close that the dizzy cancels its self or (2) the enemy will walk to your side which can also result in cancellation. By stepping back as you cast dizzy it almost completely negates this as the target will not have enough time to move to your flank or sides before it lands. Hope this helps someone

Probably the most important, when playing on console: You need Dizzy and Executioner on BUMPER buttons, not like you have it now. With the bunny hopping, dodgerolling, tower running and tree hugging meta - you won't be able to hit shit as you are set up now, because you have to take your thumb off your right stick every time to press the button, and then you can't aim. It's mainly the difference between those who use the skill, and those who don't because "they hate it".

How do people bunny hop? I tired this I, have click x every time and can't joy stick 😪 Do they have special controls or a set up where the x button is perma pressed?

@@oscarbear7498 Some might have controllers with "paddles" (like the Elite one), and remap the jump button to one of these, but I think most are just jumping the normal way. I have weapon swap, crouch, sprint and "use potion" on my 4 paddles. I am not and have never been a "bunny", nor a tower runner or tree hugger - unless I am severely outnumbered.

@@oscarbear7498 Xbox Elite first generation. Honestly. I've had a Razer Wolverine (something), and it felt really nice in a way - but ridiculously flimsy, and indeed it broke down in a few months. I was fortunate enough being offered to trade it i for a way more expensive Xbox Elite second gen controller, but it also feels more flimsy and squishy than the first I had. I strongly doubt it will endure like 2 years, like my old Elite controller.

I use other technique, while is dizzy charging you can also charge medium attack and they will land in same time, to that basically means, you can stun players in ´´1´´ hit. You can try just press dizzy and hold for like 0.5s LA and you will do much better then LA after dizzy.

It doesn't seem like it works for me the way you explained. I didn't try it in depth I haven't had alot of time to play. But, if you are stuck in d swing animation trying to medium weave won't work

As a mag sorc main I used to have a very hard time with block weaving Ele weapon that might be another good one to consider, keep up the great content bro !

One thing I'd add, you should try to hit vigor before going in for DS spam as often as you can. I usually hit shuffle+vigor to get my mobility plus heals before going in for combos and it helps tremendously.

Whenever I get into close combat I am dead before I can even switch my bar.. Even after this video I have no idea how it is possible that my dizzy does not trigger once when smashing the button forever, but every stam dk can get off like 18 skills on me in 1second. Still great content though, need more :)

On my stam sorc? I already have a build video up on it 👍 Well could be multitudes of things, lag and ping, skill delay, maybe not close enough range? I'm just speculating, mine sometimes take forever especially in Gray Host, I don't play there ever because skills never go off.

And yeah, there´s obviously some lag, skill delay, etc. going on, but even if that wasn´t the case, I am sure I´d still be dead all the time, just maybe half a second later :) I don´t know what it is, I clearly don´t understand some of the pvp mechanics and dynamics yet. Like, how can you trigger more that one skill, without being knocked down, rooted, stunned, dotted up, leaped at, etc all the time by your opponents. With the usual stam class setup ( around 20k-ish health, mostly medium armor, etc.) I get burned down in an instant. And in the 2-3 seconds from engagement to death, the recap shows like 6 skills from my opponent. Just goes over my head when a dizzy or heavy attack alone feels like 3seconds already... I guess it´s a mix of unfinished build, tech. problems like lag and skill delay and pure incompetence on my part :D Still a little frustrating though... But hey, now I can learn sth from your videos :)

Its very hard to hit skilled players with it. Ppl who are fast move or dodge out of the way. Another tactic what skilled players use is they come close to you and/or get behind you. So to hit these guys you have to always move slightly backwards to keep the distance/range to hit.

Surprise attack does this as well. I think it has to do with the server and the skill check. Like the server can't keep up with positioning. I see this happen more with high pop.

I like stuhn overall, think it's decent for stam sorc. But I think the build I have(Its on my channel) is the best build for stam sorc, obviously in my opinion, but I don't use stuhn on that build.

Use a bow as secondary but I never use it to be honest

Crystal weapon is a class special skill on Sorcerer. You can use skills like critical rush, but it's honestly better to when you are in your combo. To dizzy swing medium weave dizzy swing for the highest burst damage

Is this game playable for you guys in different game modes? Since coming back I've played some overworld (bosses, antiquities, etc. ) and did one dungeon. I noticed the lag was completely gone from when I played several months back but I keep seeing people complain about nonstop lag in the game. I'm not sure I want to stick around if that's the case. Any tips?

Hey friend, well the game lags in PvP for sure, if you do PvE stuff like you are doing, you wont really lag too bad. All depends on what you do :)

@@latedriver9019 honestly I've played since the launch of the game. Lag has gotten far worse over the years. PvP lags the worst. Bgs honestly haven't been bad can't complain there too much.

Good that other content runs well (for the most part) but any content being unplayable or that laggy is unacceptable. I just wish there was a fix for you guys. I play on pc btw. The issues are just as prevalent there.

What s the difference between heavy attack and fully charged heavy attack?

Full charged is when you hold it and don't let go. The game will land the heavy attack for you after the allotted time. Anything less than that, is a medium attack. And when you strictly tap it, that's a light attack

fair enough. The positioning aspect though encompasses lots of skills, that are melee, i could do a whole video about positioning and a whole video about movement that is way more broad than just this one skill alone

On a real note tho, ive seen people spam uppercut and it go off like a machine gun. Even have had it happen to me. The other day in iC, had a person hit me with 3 dizzies a light attack on DB and i never even see any of it happen. A bystander told me it looked like a medium attack. Any ideas? Maybe a macro?

Ehhh not really crystal weapon last 4 seconds Elemental weapon last 2 seconds Crystal weapon can proc off light and heavy attacks Elemental weapon only procs off light attacks I tried I felt rushed trying to use ele weapon didn't flow like crystal weapon does.

Yeah, game lags for sure. I've been playing alot of battlegrounds here latley and ive enjoyed it it has far less lag, but you do have to deal with the proc sets like crazy in there though, but oh well. Hope it works out for you! Let me know how it goes :)
