Super fun to solo world bosses and public dungeons, and yet flawlessly be the best kind of support to anybody I happen across. So not meta, but a lot of fun

I was just about to say WHY is ZOS so racist against Bosmer? My GF and I made Bosmer stamblades about a year ago. Luckily Nightblades have gotten a small bit of a buff over the past 4-6 months but still falling far behind Necro, warden, templar, Sorc and DK. And why are Bosmer not even worth mentioning? We don't want lycanthropy or vampirism. Like. Seriously our DPS is between 6-12k, like... My Altmer magplar healer/DPS hybrid has that and MOST of her skills are heals, buffs or debuffs and not even remotely an optimized build.

Instead do dolmens, dungeons, delves, public dungeons, world bosses, harrowstorms, etc and skyshards in zones for skillpoints. Decon almost ALL gear for set completion, etc. Do random daily ding w ons and battlegrounds every day with XP scrolls for massive XP gains. How to level and unlock skilllines the quickest for best options at versatility and respeccing for new metas. Have someone craft you some level 10 and 20 training gear, level 36 gear that more combat oriented with traits such as reinforced, divines, impenetrable, infused etc, blue lvl 36 gear with good enchants will make you competent in dungeons, competitive. In battlegrounds and carry you to lvl 50, get more gear around CP 10 or 20 and that should last you till 160. For mag DPS deadric trickery+ Spell Parasite is almost broken for a mag DPS, a tank with say Willows Path and Song of Llamia or Orgnum scales is almost broke as well and for a Stan DPS hundings rage plus night mothers gaze doesn't have the sustain but has excellent dmg. Sure I am not having the racials of an Orc or Redguard which are BiS but I get: - Max Stamina, which is nice - Extra resistances and health, allowing me to stay longer in combat - Frost resistance, which in PvP is a cool thing fighting wardens and some magicka based characters - Passive ultimate generation when being attacked, combined with Crescent Sweep it is a pretty powerful combo, this ultimate pops upr eally quick ( I am using dawnbraker atm tho ) And the most important, Nords are my favorite race. I discovered ESO a long time ago with Skyrim. When I got deeper into the lore I also discovered I liked Dark Elves. In fact I played TES Arena with one. But Nords are just my favorites. I am so obsessed with the game now! I spent 6 hours only to create the style of my character, and then I found the combination i searched for my whole life. No other game let´s you customize your character as much as ESO does, both, in style AND playstyle. What the hell is going on, you can create a bulky or a thin appearence, add a personality that changes frickin´gestures. On top of that you can build your own motif and dye it as you wish, and ON TOP OF THAT you can morph skills, try out certain combinations and there is so plenty of them, that really no one has the same playstyle as you!!!! (okay, maybe in the group content you are limited to some paths, because people go for effeciency a lot in every MMO) but then there´s the thing - even the "meta" is currently shifting and you don´t have to play group content if you don´t want to - you CAN go for it, or you focus on soloing and questing, roleplaying, PVE, PVP, Dungeons, Trials, what the hell man. I never thought I any game could suprise me more than dark souls, but ESO did! Of course, completley different genres, high vs dark fanatsy, but every game does a really great job in their ways. Why did I wait until 2021 to start playing this game??? Man, it is so magical! So mythic! So fucking awesome ! ! ! :)

@@HalfAryanHunterGatherer Some Explenation: Atm you start in "West-Skyrim". There is a woman coming out of a portal, when you enter a city at first, telling you her master wants to talk to you. This Quest is the FIRST of ALL! (Vanilla ESO started right in Coldharbour) Then the whole main story starts (Following the Prophet) where you also have to do your "Alliance-Story". After finishing all "Prophet"-Quests AND "Alliance-Story" you will take the fight to Coldharbour, to get your soul back. After you fight the end boss you will get the opportunity to play one of the other two alliance-stories and after that the last alliance-story (Questname: Cadwells Silver / Gold). It depends on your "starting alliance" which one is next (Aldmeri Dominion > Ebonheart Pact > Daggerfall Covenant > Aldmeri Dominion ). It's a clear "CAN", you don't have to do it! In correct order the next steps would be: 1.Vvardenfell / Morrowind 2. Summerset 3.Elsweyer (North then South) 4. Greymoore / West-Skyrim (Solitude) then Markarth 5. Blackwood (starting June 2021) There are also "Prologue Quests to" some of the Expansions too, accessable via crown store (they are free). Like inbetween them there are the DLC's like Orsinium, Clockwork City, Thief's Guild, Dark Brotherhood and other that brought new "Standalone-Areas" to the game. My advice: Take your time! Rushing through such a big game kills the fun! The content will not run away from you! ;)

Even Bow, and Staff DDs tend to stay in the AoE. Basically, the way that groups coop content is to gather everyone into the pool. That way the DDs can hit everyone (Ideally) and most crucially, the Healer can hit everyone. That includes you. You don't want to stand in the red, but if you wander off for too long, the Healer can't help you. You'll also miss out on very nice group Buffs like Aggressive Warhorn if you don't stay with the group. So, it's not so much that Ranged DPS stays in the melee, you don't. However, the Tank's job is to keep the Melee around him. So, if you want the Tank's buffs, you don't want to be too far from him, and the Healer is going to stay close enough to catch the Tank in Healing Springs. You can move around, don't stand on red, but don't forget who you're playing with, and where most of your buffs are coming from. You'll Deal more Damage (Or DPS) that way.

People do stress about race and class way too much. With class, I find the thing that varies the most is how much I like playing that class - not their ability. For example: I find Nightblades to be a ton of fun. It does not matter if they are tanks, healers, damage dealers - I just like the skills more. I also like Templars. On the other hand, I find that I really do not like Dragonknights and Wardens. They seem more boring to me and I generally like playing them far less. This has nothing to do with how good they are at the role, it is solely based on how interesting I find them to play. For race, I just go with something that I want to pair with the class. I like playing against type so that my character looks different. There are millions of high elf magicka sorcerers and they all look exactly the same. So I pick a redguard sorcerer. Hardly anyone plays that because the redguard does not provide any additional magic damage. It's slightly weaker than a high elf but it really doesn't matter. Also note that you can change race (for a fee) but you cannot change class. You can also easily switch from magicka to stamina, so if you regret not picking the best race for magicka, you may find your race is good for stamina instead. Some people may say that if you make bad (not optimum) choices you will regret it later. Maybe, but you may also regret it if you do not like the class or if you hate being identical to other people around you. Some people may say that certain player guilds will not want you because you are not optimum. That is true, but maybe you don't want to be in those guilds - there are plenty of others.

5:00 I noticed you don't mention Khajiit at all. Are Khajiit just not good or something?

I race swapped my templar (with one of the free swaps from years ago) to dark elf, because it's a great race for swapping between stam and mag.

Lucky Ghost, I love your guides and they really help me a lot! I had one question about the armor you are wearing in this video, is it something I can use on the outfit station? If so, what is the set called? I have a Nord Templar that I want to look almost exactly like your toon in this video. Thanks for the guides and keep up the amazing work!

I am loving your videos bud. I have been watching them for tips and tricks while playing. I do however disagree with everyone when it comes to throwing all your attribute points into, let’s say, stamina. I think a balanced character is better. Just my opinion though. Thanks for the content 🌹

What addon are you using for the ui? It looks way better! Also, great vid! Always tried getting into ESO since launch better never made it past lvl 20, but I'm feeling it this time!

Did he say anything about "Research"-tactic? I feel like I dont even wanna start a new character since I am so far behind and it will take months, maybe even years to research stuff to craft good gear
@billdagrasshawking3 жыл бұрын
I'm a bit grindy as a player but by the time my character was lvl ten I could craft items beyond my ability to use. it's not as slow a process as it sounds if you stay ontop of it for a few days
@I3LaCkPeArL3 жыл бұрын
@@billdagrasshawking I think you misunderstood. Leveling the profession is easy. RESEARCHING traits on the other hand is a process you can't complete that fast. Unless you spend a lot of money and buy instant researches on the crown shop
@billdagrasshawking3 жыл бұрын
@@I3LaCkPeArL I honestly havnt found it that bad, I am a bit fanatical about keeping the research que full at all times. I'm guess progress will slow as the items required become more specific. In the early game it's been rare for me not to have an item to research

I'm going to experiment with some unusual skill/weapon/armor combos. I'll probably be below average a lot of the time, but who knows, maybe I'll find something good.

I always gravitate towards stam builds..just wish stam had a tad bit better sustain for solo play. I mainly use a 2nd necro and it was a pain learning how to manage my stam.

Listening to this, and seeing all the guides, hearing all the info about ESO, just puts me into a analysis paralysis state. I want to play this game but I have no idea where to start, even after watching guides that say "YOU DO YOU" or "Don't worry!" Yea... still worried.
@LuckyGhost3 жыл бұрын
you will end up with multiple characters, and you can easily respec any decisions you dont love down the line. no reason to be paralyzed just pick the one that grabs you the most right now and have fun! its just a game!
