year and a half playing eso and this video was the most informative. thanks a lot! a have only one question: it's better mace to attack ignoring resistances or sword to increase all damage done?
@AreaofEffect4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Vini! Mace/Maul might be better for procs that are PHYSICAL (Bleed/Poison/Disease) than Swords but it depends on the rest of the setup as well as the numeric damage value (tooltip) of the proc set (say 5000 poison damage Proc set vs 20,000 poison damage Proc set). Because swords give %5 increased dmg, you might see a higher benefit of %5 increase on 20,000 dmg than you would on 5,000 dmg). This is because 5% of 20,000 is 1,000 where as 5% of 5,000 is only 250. So you have to take in consideration the benefit of a percentage buff(from swords) vs just a solid FLAT penetration buff (from Mauls) depending on how much physical penetration you already are working with. And remember- Mauls/Maces only carve through PHYSICAL resistance, NOT SPELL.

@@AreaofEffect thanks bro. based on your theory, what do you think if i equip Syvarra's + Pestilent Host? or Afflicted + Pertilent...? Poison and Desease are considered Physical damage. Right? So as a poison dot build with Savvara scale should I go sword or maul with sharpened
@AreaofEffect4 жыл бұрын
That depends on the other sets and mundus you are combining with it. It could be a very close tie depending on how much penetration youve got from other sources than the maul. I always test out both to see which results in a higher tooltip!

Other morph of breath would fit great in this build for the extra 10% flame damage
@AreaofEffect4 жыл бұрын
Jonas thank you for the reply, however unfortunately it is not a good option for this build as that particular morph scales off of spell damage. So you’re not GUARANTEED 10% additional flame damage. It could be %8 or it could end up being 5%. In this build in particular, it is a Max Stamina and Weapon damage (not spell damage) build so you end up only getting like 2% additional. In addition to that, using that skill requires even MORE magicka consumption and we are already using magicka for Fossilize, Hardened Armor, and Cauterize. To throw in that additional magicka skill on top of the other 3 would require a change to our magicka recovery for sure. And again, not worth it for just an additional %2 flame damage. Also, the Noxious Breath skill gives them Major Fracture in addition to a poison DOT. Very nice damage buff for our stamina abilities. Thanks again Jonas!!! 🙏🏻

So a Sharpened Greatsword is your best bet for damage on a proc set, right?
@AreaofEffect4 жыл бұрын
Yes for the most part. The only gray area is when on a stam build it may end up being a Maul instead. Depends on how much penetration you already have going on. Mauls passive penetration buff apply to physical Proc sets (poison/disease/bleed). Gotta test them both out per build and see which delivers the higher tooltip.
@Patton2434 жыл бұрын

lGraveGamingl - For poison? Possibly.. it depends on how much penetration you already have. And that %20 extra physical penetration would have to exceed a flat %6 extra damage obtained from greatswords. Would have to test it out per build/setup.

proc sets are for nerds with no skill.. learn to play and try to deal dmg by u own. this proc sets are just stupid and the old sets are not balanced. only bad players use proc sets. and those who gave up . at the current state 60% of all players runs the same proc set. all can 1vsX no skill required
@hamboneusmc99713 жыл бұрын
It’s an mmo. The state of the game is meant to change to break up the monotony and draw new players. Right now proc sets are meta, I guarantee you when the new chapter comes out, or maybe only a few months or so later, they will have a new meta.
