So they have changed concealed weapon since this came out, and now you have to cast it once every 10 seconds to get the 10% damage buff. Also, the buff is no longer a unique one, but is rather major berserk now. It still gives 10% more damage, but this is a buff you can get in content (from a sorc ult in particular) so your effective damage will have gone down some in content and the ranged setup will loose some damage if you can’t hit anything with concealed weapon. My suggestion for ranged is to either put another NB Dot there or a fighters guild skill for the passive, but it will likely be a dps loss either way. Basically they said they didn’t like the way they made the skill, so they changed their mind bout how they wanted it to work.

@@Zohangaming95 i would actually leave it completely the same, I wouldn’t change anything. Builds are generally lasting a lot longer now, as major changes are only happening once every year. You can use Oakensoul if you want, it was always an option, it’s just kind of up to you. For solo it will probably do a bit more damage. For group content, probably a bit less.

Loved the intro about how each class has something that Zos has designed as the core of the class, like the spec bow for nightblades, shalks for wardens, blastbones for necros, pets and frags for sorc, most of the dk kit lol, and the formerly jabs/sweeps but now beam for the templar. Its true that the game is pretty play how you want, but if you want to play your class even reasonably well, you pretty much need those core skills that each class has.

No, not at all. You have passive regeneration of resources of course but you might indeed have issues sustaining depending on your play. If it’s an issue you just want to swap out for a Precise inferno staff. I think I talk about it around the 25 minute mark, but happy to answer any more questions you have here.

I know someone who loves to quest. Can't do a rotation but finds herself in a battle here and there trying to get achievements. 1 bar is all she will use. Oakensoul will help her, so I will try to gear her character for battle. Woodelf nightblade.

I think oakensoul is really good for like my homies dad cause he plays but he's like 60 so he just can't really keep up so having less shit for him to worry about is really nice but on my end I do wish there was more spicy meme builds I could confuse people with

This may have changed since this video was made. But oaken soul provides minor force. So I would swap barbed trap for crippling grasp. Heavy damage as well as increase to max mag from Magicka flood and ultimate from transfer.

Haha for sure, that would work well. Although I’m a bit partial to debilitate. One thing though, this build doesn’t require Oakensoul. Part of the reason I made it was to be new person friendly, so there are not any mythics on the base build. :)

I'm one of the channeled acceleration guys. My reasoning is because it gives you that quick out if something goes wrong. Increased speed with no rooting is the tradeoff for damage and having to dodge roll. Personally choice I guess. And soul harvest with dead-water's guile set is amazing. I was doing back to back to back soul harvests while xp farming the larger pulls...

Hey John, that’s actually the other morph Race Against Time. *insert fast and furious theme song* Just keep in mind that your twisting path gives you the same speed buff, so they won’t stack. Phantasmal Escape might also be a skill worth looking at if you are concerned with being snared, but a little hard with the one bar build since you have so few bar spaces.

i know this is a year ago but this is the only source of a melee magblade that i have found. if i wanted to swap out for oakensoul, would any skills have to be swapped around, and would i trade a piece of monster set for oakensoul?

I’d definitely like to see an updated version, now that siphoning strikes got a big buff I’m considering taking that over barbed trap since oakensoul covers a large spectrum, or caltrops for breach

@heyafehya8453 you just put it on your back bar. If you look at my one bar nb tank build, you will see the 3 skills you can slot back bar and still get the benefit from. I would consider leaving the bow on your front bar though unless you need the bar space.

You can’t really sustain it unfortunately. It’s hard when you go from a mag spamable to a stam one. It’s a good thought though, and what you would want on a stamblade.

​​@@Nightharrow well one bad point on that build is, that you have no area damage, when you do dungeon or trials there are many enemies, but these abilities are for focusing 1 enemy at a time

@@GHOSTDelta3 yep, you would want to do something like this build here… ESO Nightblade Trash Build: Easy to Get, Non-Trial Set AOE Build for Stamina & Magicka Nightblades kzbin.info/www/bejne/qoXPdXlpgKmDl8k The idea is that you use different setups for different things. I would note though that ~95% of boss fights are single target, and that as long as you have enough damage to aoe down the adds on a given fight, then you don’t need to worry about aoe damage. So for almost all trials bosses for example you would want to look at your single target dps, not your total Dps. You can kind of cheese your damage numbers in content by doing stuff like that without it really helping the team. So just something to keep in mind. If you are looking for something with more aoe damage though I might recommend one of my necromancer videos. They are kind of the opposite end of the spectrum from a nb as far as single target vs aoe goes.

Who do the AoE dmg? U have just one Skill and the proc from Nirn. I like your idea about a 1 Bar Setup. But this is just a Boss slayer Build. In every Dungeon and in the most Trails u have alot trash groups. U never have the time switch every min your Skills. With a heavy Atk u have the AoE dmg but less DPS. But it‘s don’t care if u have 80k or 90k. U can clear every HM Content with that 80k and got a better AoE Output, it‘s more important to understand the mechanics and don’t die. The 10k dps don’t care. It’s don’t care if need a fight 30-40sec longer. The most DPS Race are set to 30-33k DPS. The most player lose in HM alot DPS bcos of outrange or other mechanics. Bro, it’s don’t care u make on a Traildummy 96k, when you do 30k in a HM Dungeon. Than U STILL SUCK. Your Main Spam DPS Skill is a close ranged Skill. In the most HM u will lose alot DPS. That’s why, Heavy Atk was so much OP. U can hold the 80k DPS in the most HM mechanics and press just 3 fcking Buttons!!! It was fcking unfair for all other classes and builds. We play Progress ESO for 9 Years. Never was DPS so easy befor… But i still like your build for beginner! But try make a more balanced Build, without switching Skills. The most ppl don‘t understand it :) And all who understand it, they don‘t play even more 1 Bar 😂😂😂

Um, there are a number of disagreements we have here. I won’t go into detail but I’ll mention them briefly. So nightblades do have less cleave than most other classes, but I’ve also don’t videos that cover that. Probably the most important thing here, all fights are single target fights if you have enough dps to kill the adds. There are notable exceptions like the triplets in vHoF, and trash can be an issue but the general misconception among less inexperienced players is that aoe damage is much better than it is. It’s more of a quality of life thing if you get out into a random dungeon and are doing most of the dps, or a handful of other situations. 30-40 seconds is huge in a trial and will 100% be the difference in doing another round of mechs or not. Which is what most inexperienced groups struggle with. Honestly I could go on, but suffice it to say, I think your perceived knowledge is much larger than your actual knowledge Pool. You seem like someone who is interested in learning though, and maybe you have something to teach me, so I hope you stick around.
