Do you think mora's scribe thesis would be a good set for an oakensoul user? sounds like a big buff set for them. I could be wrong though im not a big numbers type of person

Yes, you're thinking along the right lines, but it really depends. Oakensoul has 11 Minor buffs, but it only has 5 Major ones, so you'd get 11% Critical Damage but only 3% Critical Chance from this set. That's not much better than Order's Wrath - a crafted set. Also, many of these buffs (and more) are provided in a half-decent group anyway, and you'd have to drop Sergeant, Storm Master or whatever sets Oakensoul users run these days. Ultimately, the more Major buffs you can add, the better this set will perform.

Because there's a 125% Critical Damage cap, and many trial groups are already running Catalyst at 2 stacks because that's all they need.

Oh, my, god!! Mora Scribe's Thesis will be BROKEN when paired with Oakensoul.

Oakensoul's 11 Minor and 5 Major buffs = 11% Critical Damage and 3% Critical Chance from this set as it stands. Not bad, but I think you'd have to add a few more Major Buffs to really make it slap.

Hey @seamagician7042 & @Deinareia maybe this can clear things up a bit. 1. Lucent Echoes will not necessarily replace EC everywhere. An EC DD with perfect uptime is still better if you NEED the crit dmg, but the average player does NOT get perfect uptimes, and that's one reason why the new set is attractive. 2. I don't think Necros will miss EC! But recently Templars have been increasingly used for EC duty anyway. So this won't make a difference in that regard. 3. Necro DPS is great right now, and will be even better next patch. People haven't realised it yet because it takes a while for word of mouth to catch up. Video coming soon. Whilst Mora could possibly be used in trials, my first assumption was that it was aimed at 1 bar oaken builds, as the ring provides numerous minor and major buffs. It looks like they gave 2 decent 1 bar sets on this patch to help those people forced to play a one bar build for health issues.

Yeah it will pair nicely, but Oakensoul only has 5 Major Buffs so Thesis will still only be comparable to Order's Wrath (a 2 year old crafted set). Plus, the vast majority of Oakensoul use has nothing to do with Health reasons and I think ZOS knows this. Arcanist was their real gift to those players.

Mora Scribe seems like a really fun set for NB 1 bar oakensoul ganking. That crit dmg bonus looks EXTRA juicy for some nice ganks alongside with tarnished nightmare for the finisher 👌🏻

@@5bh71 not if I 2 tap him first 😂 the art of ganking is to be a glass canon that kills or be killed. There are many sets to get max pen, 7k wep DMG, plus several major buffs. As of right now thanks to how Oakfather works counting both the major plus minor debuffs and buffs on an opponent, ganking has never been easier tbh. Even 40k HP targets go down if you have full ult ready with spec now. Heavy attack, bonk ult, into spec bow. A 66k load out at max pen is usually more than most ppl can handle including some unsuspecting sweat lords trying to rock hump in cyro for 40 mins

ESO has just too many Sets. They should make a Set Piece armory where you can choose between all Sets and traits you once crafted, like a Motif Station. Re-craft and Bank Sets every new Update is just annoying and my Bank/Chests are flooted with outdated Sets. Really annoying Part of ESO

@@rainbowstay yea I already handled it like that, but most fun thing is, sometimes you have sets that are bad, becoming good through patch, get nerfed again, then get good for pvp but not pve.. then you need to switch traits.. it's so much. example for that history was the plaguebreaker set.. I destroyed it with last update, but now it becomes real good for pvp ^^

Haha, there ARE a lot of sets in ESO, but some would say that’s a good thing. Problem is that you’re hoarding gear, which you’re not supposed to do. They introduced Reconstruction and Collections for this very reason. Just bin the stuff you’re not using and recreate it at next to no cost if you ever want it again.
