It's really funny, because the first thing I thought of was like, wow, if this was a videogame, the end-game powers that you're able to do is inaccessible in the early and mid-game when you _need_ the powers, but by the time you're at the end-game, there's really no point. Really brings to mind like 80% of almost Minecraft modpacks honestly 😂

Does your workplace send you fake phishing emails too, to "test" you? And passive aggressively call out anyone who hasn't watched this month's training video? I think our IT department is run by one of these bored demons.

I haven’t watched the video yet but you do have to be careful that you get “the right guy” which is the reason as soon as I started hearing from these entities two years ago and realized every last one of them is pure evil I stopped praying and refuse to do it until I know what is going on… There’s no way I’m praying or asking for help from anyone at this time.

I just came back to comment that I listened to the video finally. I enjoy listening to these longer videos while doing yardwork. And today while doing yardwork my hose wasn't working, the water pressure was really low. So I checked around, no kink in the hose, my water line was good, the water in my house was running well, too. Anyways, during the video Professor Sledge mentions there would be a fourth level of enlightenment as he sees it, the Eureka moment. And around that time I was looking at my hose again I noticed the knob you screw on the back of the attachment was loose, so I tightened it, and THAT fixed the water pressure. EUREKA!

Personally, Agrippa in a “nutshell” comes off as a ‘person’, not being able to be “consistent” in MANY areas of his academic career, and personal life, ‘leaping’ between/back & forth, or just on to the ‘next’ intriguing subject, or matter that catches his attention. THIS is what makes him such a complex, but such an interesting personality to study ESOTERICA in my view. Love your channel and always appreciate your content X❤❤❤

I don't know if anyone here remembers Doreen Virtue. She was a new age author who based her whole career on channeling angels and elementals up until a few years ago when she got a scare and suddenly realized what she had been channeling, including Jesus, might not have been all that benevolent. She went full on radical Christian after that. I wonder if this was a case of she calling Michael and and having his cousin pick up the phone.

As a pagan, I know of her. Never understood why people fell for her stuff. It was clear to me what she was. I was therefore not surprised to see she had turned. In the 'non fluffy' section of the occult community, she was completely ignored. Give it time - bet you she will turn back. I do not think that there was anything genuinely occult about that scenario. Anne Rice did something similar.

A tour de force! Thanks for all of your wonderful works. The thing that ties everything together is co vibration, through the vibration of thought, and the vibration created conceiving symbols and words, each with its own complex frequency pattern. When one speaks or thinks or visualizes/sees a symbol, one is sending out various frequencies of vibration causing a co vibration in everything it comes into contact with.

This reminds me a lot of Dante's Divina Commedia, the journey from inner earth (hell), up to Purgatory then Angels and finally God. Dante increasingly uses the "ineffabile" technique the more he's close to God until language is not able to describe the experience of God at all. Was Dante a nominalist then? 😅 You actually mentioned Dante was part of the "scholastic" background of Agrippa. Anyway, thanks for these lessons. This is like the ultimate search for meaning, through metaphysical reasoning, all so far away from our everyday mundane world of "utility" we all live in. Thank you!

Such a good lesson, I was just thinking about several of these things, for what its worth, one of my partners gave her perspective on the divine and malific names. What she pointed out is that the angels names are an integral part of their being, their signifier, a proclamation of the power and authority bestowed upon them, so summoning Raphael to heal a sick person is actually kinda silly when you could announce his name to manifest THAT PORTION of his authority, which will get his attention but also could basically intimidate an illness, kinda "you could leave peacefully in this tissue and secure a future for your children but if you dont wanna play nice". I imagine an individuals knowledge of the language, name and medical knowledge of the disease would help "modify the roll" if you will. Now as for the malific/demon names, well, they dont have authority like that, she is of the opinion that the names they have now are basically to mock and humiliate them, because being created without free will and predestined for damnation is super cool oh and your face is made of snakes that smell like sulphers rotten cousin:/ old testament gods a jerk and he knows it, which is more than I was expecting, he (El of the mountain specifically) did answer my question though, I wanted to know if a demonized person could be "redeemed" or better, could finally get to choose a path of their own rather than being spiked into the universes deepest flaming outhouse just cause. He said he would grant no blessing or authority, simply permission... Which was, again, more than I thought was likely, its honestly bizarre knowing that I had that conversation and that that is impossible at the same time, my life is like, impossible miracles, then KZbin magic lessons, brunch miracle, k/j and USA pop for a few hours, its a really nice setup aside from the whole untreatable mental illness and utter poverty bits. I kinda hate money actually but it sure would be nice to meet a brain doctors whos job wasnt "extract money and hope from the broken and weary". I basically came up with my own hack version of emotional/spiritual alchemy using... Things way fancier that whatever Pavlov was doing (;-;) I did also learn to meditate, honed my lucid dreaming skills, it works way better than being a revenue stream for someone too important to look at me/acknowledge my humanity. Oh ya:/ the thing I started this mighty tome to say....;-; :/right, I really REALLY dont like the idea of compelling, controlling, enslaving, de-personifying, like, just because its invisible/divine/the delusions made inevitable by a life of trauma and gaslighting, I think its still bad:/ To anyone who is thinking of dealing with spirit of any kind, please try your words, maybe ask some questions, find out if they wanted to hang out anyways, search for some treasure. Like, if you were to actually communicate and contact a demon, what manner of life do you suppose theyve had? Super fun? lotsa friends, free time to pursue spiritual - They are made of thought:/ How much trauma do you have and how much do you suppose a being who is thousands of years old could accumulate? Ugh, crying makes me more powerful tho so UGH. Abuse is never ok but humans just love it in all its myriad forms. try talking, especially listening, if you cant hear them try asking questions and sitting quietly, you can clear your mind but I recommend also listening to your own static, we are also mental beings just stuck in meat so things get ... Meaty I guess. Anyway, lookat at un'. May the blessings of the myriad ways and those who guide them find you when you call, may your judgements be just and please try not to be an asshole, I will of course take that last part to heart cause YEESH this mess here o777

Dr Sledge I love to listen to your videos while I'm doing leatherwork, art work, and creating things for my friends. This series of lectures inspired me to make a talisman the other day to harness some things going on with Pluto in my chart and the healing energy in certain areas of my life. I do use astrology a lot not to forecast my own personality per say, but to see where people who are unaware of the astrological weather, and are not doing doing the necessary work in themselves to grow and heal, are impacted by it... it helps me make sense in my relations and understand how to proceed forward without perhaps taking offense to an attitude or knowing when and where to either let the moment pass or offer a kind word, it's quite helpful in sharpening discernment and intuition... I do adhere to the words of the alchemists of old in the sense that the cosmos are simply a reflection of what we do here and I don't believe that those who make themselves aware of the coming weather will be as impacted by it, it's like knowing when to bring an umbrella for the walk to work kinda thing. Magic has offered lots of useful filters to observe this world through and even recognizing the prophets of the old testament as kinds of "divinely inspired magi or mystics" helped me to honestly fine tune my faith and trust in our abilities being created in the image of God.

Arthur Schnitzler wrote a one-act play about Paracelsus. Agrippa deserves his own opera or a Netflix series at the very least. In the ancient Egyptian Book of Gates and the Book Of Coming Forth by Day, knowing and using the names of the 'demons' of the underworld is crucial to the survival of the soul (the Ka) in that underworld. Knowing the divine names gives you power. Excellent chapter, as are all the parts of this series so far.

Agrippa von Nettesheim occurs as a sorcerer in Sergei Prokofiev's opera "The fiery angel" where a couple seek him out in order to gain contact with an angel. The opera, described as "Carmen with occult elements" is in turn based on a novel by Valery Bryusov. Apparently the plot is similar to another Russian Soviet era novel called "The master and Margherita " -said to be the inspiration for the Mick Jagger song "Sympathy for the devil."

I don’t know about the emphasis on language, shapes etc. if I’m being honest. Can it be a ritualistic procedure to request a certain action from an entity when a human is not tapped in to a standard communicative means? Sure, but these entities telepathically communicate using thought to thought communication along with imagery (visions) so I just don’t know any of that is true in practice. It has not been my experience at all. If a human does said ritual then an entity can know what they are wanting or requesting. It can also be a form of worship where if you do A then the entity will do B because you worshipped them in the manner they wanted but outside of that I don’t think language matters in “magic” at all.

You’re basing this solely on your personal experiences which may or may not be the effects of mental health. It’s one thing to willingly contact an entity and another to convince them of what you’re contacting them for. If they’re properly telepathic and you are communicating with them then there’s no reason they cannot or would not explain why they can or cannot do something. Agrippa however isn’t talking about invoking or evoking a higher power, he discusses elevating yourself and breaking the threshold on your spiritus to merge with the higher powers that be, primarily through language “spell words and Kabbalah” if you will.

Like how the angles are named and why they play their roles. If so I wonder if there is another language spoken by god or if this I guess magic spell that he speaks is the only thing he can speak as if that is just the reality if his enlightenment, just absolute ability to control everything.
