This video went from a simple no damage run, to a testing suite and showcasing all of the different endings and rewards. Even after the DLC being out for a good while now, there's still a lot of confusion as to how these work. This should hopefully help clear it up. 00:00 - Starting Dialogue 03:01 - Normal Boss Fight & Reward #1 (Agony Spike) Defeat the boss normally,while the weapon isn't destroyed. 06:24 - Alternate Boss Fight & Reward #2 (Tormentor's Pommel) Defeat the boss while the weapon is destroyed or broken. 09:17 - Alternate Boss Fight & Reward #3 (Burden of the Departed Ring): Defeat the boss with the ring "Burden of the Divine" equipped. 13:35 - Reward #4 (Jewel of the Beholden Amulet) Speak to Nimue after defeating the One True King. 14:40 - Reward #5 (Broken Heart Relic) Agree to kill Nimue, and proceed to do so. 22:24 - Reward #6 (Gift of the Unbound Amulet): Agree to kill Nimue, and then choose to spare her. Defeat the One True King and return after. 27:11 - Reward #7 (Crimson Guard Armor Set & "Succession" Secret Ending): Reroll until you have the Gilded Chambers as part of your DLC adventure (it will always as a doorway in the cave that's after the bridge, before the Palace). Defeat the One True King, and then go to the Gilded Chambers. Farm 3 "Crimson King Coins" from elite Knights that spawn in there, and then give them to the Red Prince. He will kill you. After this, go to One True King arena for the secret ending and reward. 30:20 - Final Clarifications on Agony Spike vs Tormentor's Pommel Drops This last section is to clear up some misinformation about how to actually trigger the two of these. I've defeated the boss about 15 different times now, and all of which were consistent with the following results. 1. The boss does NOT need to be in the "empowered" state to get the Agony Spike (flames in the chest, prolonged by enemies being absorbed). This was supposedly confirmed, but as shown in the video, it is currently not the case (unless it's bugged). 2. The Agony Spike drop is purely based on the weapon NOT being destroyed as you defeat the boss. The weapon being "destroyed" can be confusing though, as a second health bar appears when you first destroy it, but after waiting a short while the boss will then be stunned, kneel, and the weapon disappears. The window from depleting the first health bar, until after the stagger and the weapon respawns - you cannot defeat the boss during this time if you want to get the Agony Spike. To consistently make sure you get the Agony Spike: Get the boss low, wait for the weapon to respawn, and defeat the boss after it respawns while being careful not to completely deplete the health bar of the weapon again. Neither the boss standing up, nor the boss holding the weapon are reliable indicators of this. You need to watch the health bar of the weapon and be sure not to fully deplete it. Both of the examples in the video show this window, and I tested it multiple times thereafter to confirm this. 3. The Tormentor's Pommel drop is the result of killing the boss while the weapon is destroyed. The easiest and most consistent way to do this is to get the boss low, destroy only the weapon, and have the boss die to the damage it causes from the stagger. It worked every time for me.

I actually think this is a really well designed boss fight, giant bosses are almost always a pain and many developers struggle with them, including FromSoftware, the camera is normally your greatest enemy, but I never ran into any problems with The One True King, I know he's easy but I don't think there was a way for him not to be, he's only easy because all of his attacks are well-telographed, and if they were a little less telographed, the fight could quickly become tedious because of his size, besides, he's not absurdly easier than the other world bosses, his high damage can still catch you out every now and then if you mess up the timings on his swings. I do think the Fae Knights could take a little less of his health to make him less of a pushover and more of an endurance battle, but the weapon breaking mechanic is really cool. Plus, having these powerful elete knights actually help you to fell their corrupted king does add an amazing spectical to the fight and makes it feel even more epic, it makes the fight easier but simaltainiously makes it feel like your enemy is more powerful.

As a fromsoft fan I agree even they struggle with big bosses

No problem, noticed myself when checking around to see if anything I was missing that a lot of misinformation was about. So I wanted to try and help fix that

This dude was surprisingly easy. But dang, how are you supposed to figure out the stuff for the prince? I didn't even know you can find the prince in the dlc.
@shadowkhan42211 ай бұрын
There is lore in one of the DLC dungeons that speaks about how how the king had a son with a fae. Its kinda obvious who it means . Then I quess , you just dont kill the a*ole. Problem is , most people are done with his dungeon so will just not go there if it spawns ...
@shadowkhan42211 ай бұрын
just noticed but they even have family resemblance in how they act . If you do what they ask , both will pretend to be please and then will attack . The only difference , prince will backstab you and the king will actually fight .
@nightlock369711 ай бұрын
The prince is a Fae, there are numerous books in-game that tell they are treacherous backstabbers, and the king goes from cruel, but just to insane.@@shadowkhan422

@Esoterickk i'm gonna run a full play through on Apocalypse with my mates, what builds would you recommend like archetype's, traits, mods weapons rings etc. Any chance you can make a video of best builds or something please.
@Esoterickk11 ай бұрын
Honestly not too sure sorry. I ran the whole DLC with this setup, which is a fun way to play for me, but pretty much every attack becomes a one shot as a result. So far from ideal in that sense. I haven't kept up too much with what's the best builds or safest approaches to get through them
Was so disappointed that he only has 1 modifier even on apoc
@cammydwhammy11 ай бұрын
The modifiers make a tough boss just more annoying, not properly difficult.
@Ccubed9211 ай бұрын
Modifiers are pretty lame and dont make a boss difficult it just reduces the players damage which is dumb and prolongs a battle or prevent builds from working

hey eso, if you ever see this, im wondering, which game do you think is more difficult, from the ashes or rem 2? personally i have a much easier time with rem 2, which i played first, i think rem 2 has much better boss design and visual/sound cues in general, most of the bosses in from the ashes feel a bit lazy like how theres pretty much a boss version of every elite and they dont really do much special (shroud, gorefist etc.), most of them dont have much health and throw loads of ads at you which i find more frustrating than fun, however im still having a blast with it, i haven't gotten anywhere near to obtaining everything like i have in rem 2, my favourite bosses would probably havd to be ixillis and the iskal queen in from the ashes as they feel difficult and fun to fight without just throwing a million ads at you every 15s, for remnant 2, probably sha'hala (normal), bruin, prince, tal'ratha (meta), venom, annihilation, in general the bosses are much more enjoyable in rem 2 imo. cant wait for the upcoming DLCs
@Esoterickk9 ай бұрын
It's hard to say really. I feel like Remnant 2 is probably more difficult when directly comparing the hardest bosses, especially if you compare something like Annihilation to most of the bosses in Remnant 1. That being said, the class system made Remnant 2 far more approachable, and there weren't as many options for builds and safer play in Remnant 1. Additionally, a lot of the bosses had heavy add spam in Remnant 1 as you mentioned, which made them seem a lot harder to deal with. Bosses were for sure an upgrade in Remnant 2, but personally I enjoyed both games, even with the many adds in 1

How are you liking the DLC??
@Esoterickk11 ай бұрын
I had a lot of fun with it, a good amount of content and a few more bosses to play with. The Ritualist archetype was the one I was most excited for but haven't had a chance to try it yet, but I always enjoyed the DoT builds even in Remnant 1, so should fit into my playstyle
