Got the same guitar but made in 2007 and I also got the blacky made in 2009 and they are 2 different guitar, the 07 model is really good, well finished but the blacky that is coming from the same factory is not as good, different neck angle, different neck profile, frets are bigger and it feel cheaper (without mentioning the problem with non visible side dots 😒). I also got a Alexi 200 with the bolt on neck and this is a great guitar too almost like my 09 blacky but half the price. For the horn debate, I can decide if a hate it or like it, visually it is not the "right shape" like Alexi was using, but I find myself locking the lower horn behind my shin to help playing sitting down, that way it is much more confortable than any RR shape. In overall, I was considering selling the blacky for an Edwards whose have the right shape but those are expensive outside Japanese market. I love my 07 sawtooth, it is the best sounding guitar I have, modded it with the MM-04 boost and black hardware, such a killer machine. \m/

Wow I wouldn’t have thought that the LTD Blacky is that different of a guitar, that’s super interesting. I see them every so often on eBay and am always tempted to go for one, but maybe I should consider an Edwards then as well. Thanks for the great comment!

Does the ESP cutaway on the higher frets actually makes a difference?
@adriengrayson1369Күн бұрын
Haha sorry, you actually talk about it on vid
@ChrisWeinhardt13 сағат бұрын
The cutaway itself is perfect I think, but the neck heel is a bit thicker than you’d expect. Apparently that was changed on later versions of Alexis signature models, but I haven’t had the chance to compare them yet

Great review man, I play a Jackson RR and had the chance to review a KH V that is the same body of Alexi’s, didn’t get used to lower long horn😅

Apart from the lower horn, how was the overall quality of the KH V? I think they look beautiful and was a couple of times very close to pulling the trigger on one 😄

What you think about this guitar and your concept RR, both made in Korea
@ChrisWeinhardtКүн бұрын
I love them both and they feel so different to me that it’s hard to compare them. The Alexi has the nostalgia bonus of course and is plain comfortable to play but the RR is just so slick and aggressive that I can’t really decide. I keep them in different tunings so that I have a reason to play them both all the time 😄

Grover tuners are the shit. Got them on my Epi, and that in itself is a massive pro to ANY guitar in any price bracket. Nice review, man. Always wanted a V like this. But damn, I cannot get used to the form at all 😂

We‘ll go full V when we start our country rock tour, although I guess we would need Gibson/Epi Flying Vs for the proper looks

Interesting, I had the same ALEXI-600 black/white in high school, but I had the model before all those changed: black hardware, EMG Hz, Original Floyd. Wonder why they changed it up.

Honestly the version you had was the one I always remembered, so I was a bit confused when I first bought mine. Would be interesting to know if there were even more subtle differences between these two versions like the neck shape or something

Very nice review, I only wish they a bit cheaper, there is Alexi-200 but I think it has a bit poor quality.

I have a band mate who owns the black Alexi-200 and I remember it being pretty decent for the price. Maybe I can do a review of it in the future to see how it holds up :)

@@ChrisWeinhardt Oh, good to hear that maybe I'll give it a chance. The review would be great!
