Good idea, for outdoor i recomend other sensor like ultrasonic sensor instead of ir sensor because this ir sensor can be disturb by sun light

Hi, sir thank you for this but can you help me? we're doing our research about face recognition security system, we want to control the door lock with two esp32 cam and control the lock. We use 2 channel relay, when the system recognized the face the relay is working but the problem is in the output, we connect the red wire of the door lock to the common pin, and the normally open to the 5v but when we connect the same connection in the other input (in2) the lock is working but when the face is recognized the door lock is still locked. When we try to recognize both esp32 cam together that's when the door lock opens. We want to put the ESP32 cam Outside and inside. Sir, I hope you know what the problem is

Nice topic, but the range of IR sensor is not enough to detect anyone in front of the door, I recommend using Ultrasonic range finder, and IR can get fiddled by Sun rays, so you cant put this outside..... However the idea of taking photo is new!! Good Going!

IR is just used as an alternative of button so it will be touch less and safe, you can even use ultrasonic sensor or even PIR motion sensor 😊
