Dear Michael, I am overwhelmed to see these old pictures of my childhood in Albufereta! Thanks so much to share this gift with us! We lived there from 1966 - 2002 with breaks! My father is there on the cementery since 1971! My mum came to "Edificio Gafner" every winter and at christmas I came till 2002! Since that time my mum is gravely ill and I take care of her day and night here in Munich! And seeing your pics I die of longing for Alicante, the old one and the new one! Thanks a lot !!!!

For over forty years we thought that the building would stop! Yet it went on and on! But in the present malaise I'm sure it will come to a halt (temporarily) When I moved into an apartment on the Playa you could overlook 6 kilometers of beach, the mountains and the faro, now one sees only buildings. Reason that I sold my apartment years ago.

It's a pitty, but Alicante coast is overbuilding at this time!! and I perfectly understand you!!!!....I'm from Alicante and I suffered for this , because this place it will be a paradise!! Sorry for my English!!

Qué lástima de mi Alicante!!!!......ya se empezaba a construir sin piedad por toda la costa... .ahora ya no hay ni un palmo de toda ésa tierra que no este" enladrillado" !!....Turismo de sol y playa!!!.....así nos va!!....sobretodo ahora con la pandemia!!! 😪

Yes very nice film, specially surprised at the end of the film were my father, my mother, sister and my self appear!!! I was 4 years old, and I do recall the people in the film being with us but I have not any idea who they are.
