Nice images Espen. Glad it was your gear on the wet mud instead of mine...Joking mate...These days I use an old frying pan with a ball head attached inside it, which reduces the risk of water and sand damage on the gear and provides a steady platform. It's a couple inches higher off the ground but with a long telephoto, it matters little and saves your neck...At least for the old folk like myself. Greg

Thanks Greg! That would be a good setup, I've thought to buy a frisbee to put my bean bag on. I don't mind the mud, but don't like it when my gear gets it!

Those thin cheap neoprene type camping bedrolls for camping (they even come in camo) would do wonders, even cut in half if it was too bulky for ya. Great situation for that 1.4 extender yea?

Just got one for my next video :) The 1.4x really helped yeah, but towards the end I could probably have done without it they got so close!

Went on a trip last week and photographed Osprey, LSP, GSP, PGP, Kentish Plover. Common Red and Greenshanks and an Euradian Curlew. :p

That was a great video I always keep a few bin liners in my kit bag take up no space, light and work a treat in situation like this plus you can launch them when used, (they are bio degradable ones)

Awesome shots Espen! Maybe you should use some kind of foam sleeping pad to lay down on, I got one which is foldable, so you can carry it in your backpack.

Awesome video and images - those waders hardly minded you being there at all :) I really need to go out and have another crack at this kind of photography..! PS. Definitely recommend an old foam pad for lying on - you'll get less cold and less muddy!

i'm from Morroco your videos are beautiful you film your vlog by which appareil me too i have 7D ii with sigma 150-600 spot but h'is not sharp like canon 100-400mm
