This song was at the very end of an otherwise uplifting playlist and I had never listened right to the end so one morning I woke up, fired that playlist on and went back to sleep, woke up roughly 50 minutes later in my dark bedroom with utter silence aside from espial and I sat and pondered, "I don't have any song even close to this in any of my playlists!" Then uncomfortable anxiety set in so I flung my headphones off and went back to sleep. Now whenever I hear it I still associate it with discomfort and anxiety but I love that, it's the only song like itself and that attracted me to it and it had a solid place in my playlist for a good while before my genre preference shifted again

This is legitimately one of my favorite compositions of the modern era. It transports me to a place of mind that I once had in my college days. That state has since been illusive as I have aged and it is very difficult for me to describe; an intersection of possibility and wonder for our world that becomes more and more difficult to grasp as I succumb to the pressures of adulthood. For me, this describes that feeling when you meet eyes with a complete stranger, and you just smile at each other. Like a proper, earnest smile. I was in the backseat of a car, and I had my hand out of the window just feeling the wind blow agaist my palm, and there was another person in a car in the lanes next to me. It was around dusk and I had been thinking about existence and how I always felt alone. If I'm honest, that one moment conpletely changed my worldview and all it took was a smile from a stranger. It was about three seconds, and then we took separate routes. But three seconds, and my whole life was made more positive. That one smile was everything. I've completely overanalyzed it, but that it what this music piece reminds me of.
