Thank you much for the video. Could not find much information about this online but you tutorial did the trick!

That's exactly the reason I made the video, information is scattered around and often incomplete. It took me a while to get it working with the limited information available so I wanted to put something together in hopes of advancing the hobby. Thank you for the kind words.

On another unrelated note you spoke about RGB flood lights in your video. What lights are you using in order to be controlled via a WeMos D1 setup for instance? Have seen LED RGB flood lights but mostly controlled via a remote which is not relevant here

Looks like the link to the 12V to 5V module is missing in your description. Could you please advise what works here?

How did you connect the voltage regulator to the shield?

Thanks for the great tutorial. Out of curiosity, could this be installed in 1 moving head, and then daisy chain to other heads via the DMX output?
@builditbetter56104 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Yes you can daisy chain, I ended up putting the DMX plug assembly back in and was able to daisy chain 6 heads together and they all ran flawlessly, you should be able to do more up to 510 channels.

Nice video! can we add sd card shield for Pixel-Stick v4 ?
@builditbetter56102 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I'm sure it's possible, the code does not currently support an SD card shield but if your good with coding I'm sure it can be done. Are you running out of storage space? If so you can use a Wemos Pro, same footprint and pinout but more RAM and memory space.

Just curious - - how do you tell the espixelstick fir,ware to output serial dmx?
@moparguy20115 жыл бұрын
In the firmware loading tool, you select either ws2811 or serial.

At first it didn’t work for me because I connected D3 to DI but then I realized the wemos was sending the data from pin D4.

Oh my god. So glad that I saw thought to check the comments, since I had the same problem, thought that maybe my module is shitty or the dmx is bad on my light, turns out I was using wrong pin, haha. Thanks for commenting about this!
