I kind of feel like these people would be saying the same things even if Alabama went 7-5

It really is a mute point. When you school decides to be a part of these power conferences and get rewarded financially for doing so. Mightily I might add. This is what comes along with being in those power conferences. These smaller schools have less money, lower recruits and have done a heck of a job dominating in what’s left outside the power 5. They can’t be mad that in the spot win and you’re in. If you don’t enjoy all the fringe benefits

The ACC Champion got beat by two SEC teams. Clemson and SMU both lost one game in the ACC. So was SMU really ranked correctly before championship Saturday? The AP and Coaches poll is flawed because it punished teams that play tough opponents. Now if Clemson gets beat by Texas that will be 3 SEC teams that they list to. South Carolina lost two games to Ole Miss and Alabama and one game to LSU that had multiple bad calls against South Carolina, one pick 6 that everyone says was awful but SMU gets in why.... Because of where they were seated and why when a similar team with the same record was seeded 18th?

Imagine having multiple embarrassing losses and trying to argue, that you should be in the playoffs, this is exactly why 12 teams is ridiculous
Conference champions should just get an automatic bid like the CBB, not a top 4 seed.

This whole ".500 team" nonsense has to stop. A 6-6 Oklahoma IS NOT equal to a 6-6 team in another conference! If Oklahoma were still in the Big 12, they would probably be near 9 - 3 or 8 - 4. SOR should be scrapped completely. The Committee should rank ALL 134 FBS teams pre-season and then adjust each week based on their play (wins, losses, eye-test, etc.) You won't need to mess around with the record of other opponents but SOS (Strength of Schedule) will still matter. My ranking system is the best.

Oregon got the most difficult schedule as the number one, SEC bias is insane.
@joeylove54285 күн бұрын
Oregon has the 18 sos and Georgia has the number 1. Oregon couldn’t do what Georgia did. Make it to the natty and we will show you weak mfs what sec bias looks like. You know what happened last time!
@Hehateme8705 күн бұрын
Sec bias has nothing to do with it its the people that made the playoff format Oregon being #1 should've had the easiest path to the championship I think after this year things will be changed
@showtale83254 күн бұрын
SEC bias... INDIANA ...PENN STATE ... aren't playoff teams ...but they are . There isn't any SEC bias...they dominate recruiting every season. Truth is SEC doesn't get a fair shake in the media...they simply end up at the top in the end

Georgia had the hardest schedule come on now but Alabama should have been over smu

FSU was undefeated but didn't get in playoff last year so all this discussion about a 3 loss SEC team is stupid

I think everyone wants the BEST teams in the CFP. That’s not what we’re getting this year. Hopefully the committee will learn something.

Don't worry SEC fans next year they will just put 12 SEC teams in the CFP which means Bama or Georgia will win the natty, and for the people teams in the SEC that never win anything can keep riding the back of those two with your pom poms shouting SEC,SEC,SEC !

@jimwyatt83865 күн бұрын
16 teams. No byes. Indianas schedule had the 2023 National Champion and the 2023 runner up on their schedule. Why is it their fault that they both sucked this year? Why does the big 10 play 9 conference games and the sec only plays 8?
@dougsholly93235 күн бұрын
Everyone wanted to make the argument about sos for Alabama over smu, but coach Saban made the best point. Strength of schedule was an argument that should have been considered BEFORE last week's rankings. Once they put SMU ahead of Alabama, this week, there was no argument anymore to swap them. The rankings this week were consistent with the rankings from last week. SMU deserved a spot and they got it. For the record, I am a Tiger fan.

All the committee did was prove that sos means nothing, so if I was Bama r any sec team, I would schedule the easiest schedule I could because picking smu over Bama just proves that fact. I'm tired of the dei picks by this committee. They lost to a trash Clemson team, but hey, they almost came back sooo.
@specialenergy51995 күн бұрын
And bama would still lose to Oklahoma and Vandy....
@Hehateme8705 күн бұрын
Yes the committee are fucking idiots they wanna reward teams for playing easy schedules smu had no top 25 wins and an 86th sos yet the committee rewarded them for geting to the championship and losing it alabama had ranked wins and a 15th sos they should've got in over smu its not only that its other teams too that got screwed over the committee definitely didn't put the 12 beat teams in there
@georgeinglett71895 күн бұрын
@specialenergy5199 u could be right, but I do believe the Oklahoma game was a fluke, but still sos has to mean something.
@specialenergy51995 күн бұрын
@georgeinglett7189 yes but so does 3 losses and not making it to your conference championships game
@georgeinglett71895 күн бұрын
@specialenergy5199 I understand ur point, but if u had a sos like those teams, they more than likely would be undefeated r maybe one loss at worst, so there are both sides of the coin.
