@@eazybucketz_23 Actually, Jim Buss was running the show from the time Phil left (2011 therabouts). Kobe tore his achilles 2013. Bear in mind the Lakers were champions in 2010, and Kobe still had a lot in the tank at that point. He was different after the achilles for sure, but had he had better management, it's unlikely that Lakers demise would have been as drastic as it was, achilles tear or no achilles tear.

Phil was coach in 2011 when the lakers got swept by the Dallas Mavericks. In 2012 they lost in 5 to OKC. In 13 Kobe tore his Achilles. In 14 he tore his shoulder and in 15 he hurt his ankle. They didn’t bring in anybody that could carry the load along with him. The CP3 trade was awful they were gunna gut the team of their entire core for one player . Where’s the role players ?

As this video highlights, Dantoni did not utilize Pau well enough. I’m sure with a little more smart moves, Kobe would have gotten back a good young core of players with Bynum as well, they could have gone back to the West Finals in 2012 or 14 had Kobe remained healthy.

Lakers management was such a circus show from the way they form the roster to Mike being the head coach instead of Phil Jackson for one last run. Should’ve had CP3 but once David Stern vetoed the trade that’s obviously messed up the team chemistry before the preseason. I mean Odom and Gasol were past their primes and CP3 was in his prime. Once Odom knew that he already wanted to be out of there and got traded to the clippers. Dwight was a clown coming off of back surgery and was the legit meme of just being there to make movies and be apart of the LA spot light. Kobe literally gave it his all when he shouldn’t have to. I miss you Mamba you’re my goat 🐐🐍
