3:57 Indiana only lost to Ohio State and Notre Dame. These are the two teams playing in Monday's national championship. Great show. I appreciate their impute especially Paul. I think NIL and 12 team playoffs really promotes College football parity. I love my team winning every year but, I think it's best for college football to have different teams in the mix every year. I think inexperienced playoff teams like Tennessee, Indiana, SMU, Arizona St. Once they get that experience will make them better, they won't have those Gitter's before a game because they have been there before. SEC got spoiled & it's difficult to realize in the next few years it will be like March Madness more. They really need 16 team playoffs. 1 inconsistency with the CFP Committee is Last year Florida St WAS UNDEFEATED in the ACC and deserved to be in the playoffs, but the excuse was their QB got hurt. This year Georgia lost their QB at the end. Shouldn't Georgia have been out of the playoffs w/ 3 loses AND losing their QB? It should have been the top 12 team's period w/ NO AUTOMATIC BIDS. but who were the top 12 teams??? the committee seems blinded by SEC or even Big Ten. Georgia should have dropped in the polls when they went to 8 OT vs and unranked Georgia Tech team at the end of the season. Even winning the Championship like Florida St won the ACC in 23' it shouldn't have been an automatic bid. Maybe we need a NCAA Committee w/ no tie to any of the college teams. Maybe from the Canadian CFL, to be in charge of watching teams play and rank them based on play?

It looks like SEC fans are very confused and fixated on the preseason rankings, or the thoroughly debunked ESPN FPI (ESPN FPI still has Alabama ranked #4, and Illinois #42). The AP and coaches polls haven't been updated in weeks and still show the SEC dominating. Perhaps that is why a lot of SEC fans are upset about Indiana. But they should look at themselves in the mirror and realize that they live in a world of fantasy. They believe that the SEC is some sort of ultra competitive circular firing squad where 9-3 SEC teams are superior to 11-1 Big Ten teams because of their superior strength of schedule. Well, it turned out to be complete nonsense. 7-5 Michigan beat 9-3 Alabama with their practice squad. Illinois put on a clinic against South Carolina (and got robbed of a TD early in the game). 6-6 USC beat 8-4 Texas A and M. The team that had ZERO business being in the CFP was Tennessee.

This is a STUPID argument slanted by so called podcasters. Finebaum is an entertainer, not God- his opinions are not gospel. He is wrong just as much as he is right. The reason the B10 had greater influence in the CFP is because they held 4 team slots of the top 10. By your account the CFP championship game should have all B10 and it wasnt, nor did they hold more than 2 of the 4 semifinal CFP slots. I dont see you clobbering the ACC and they got clobbered in the CFP. Crushing is a Finebaum jounalistic exaggeration.

Sagarin and every other computer rating like ELO show that the SEC was light years ahead of the Big Ten. The difference by which the SEC was better than the Big Ten was enormous. .Not even close. Anyone using a sample size of the entire season, i.e. all the games played by all the college football teams for the whole year, knows that the SEC was the dominant conference. Only a complete moron, using a tiny sample size consisting of a handful of games, could possibly conclude otherwise.

The SEC was still the deepest conference and still very good, but they lacked those 2 or 3 elite teams at the top. They usually have 2 or 3 teams at the top that are truly elite. This is why they have won so many national championships in the last 20 to 30 years. That part is undeniable. The question now is whether they can consistently produce a few truly elite teams at the top that with the exception of an Ohio State or Michigan no one else can beat. And often UM and OSU, while always good, have a difficult time dealing with a truly elite Bama or Georgia. But now we have NIL and the transfer portal and it's much more difficult for even the best teams to keep players. Everyone is looking for a payday. These kids want to start and not sit.
