Shoutout to Lonzo man, fed Zion when he was hot, gave him confidence and stopped him from getting called back to the bench early so he could catch a rhythm, that's something a seasoned vet would do.
@hissoka31385 жыл бұрын
You could see Lonzo with a sly grin when Zion went to the free throw lane and the coach couldn´t pull him out for the 4th or 5th play in a row. He absolutely knew what he was doing. They had to call a timeout to get him out lol.

Stephen A's point was even tho Zion statistically ended up having a good game he didn't look ALL the way like himself yet. Which was kinda true. The fact that he adjusted and still had a GREAT GAME statistically is a testament to his true talent though.

I mean of course maybe he didn't look to be in his true form, he doesn't entirely know what to expect. It's his first ever career basketball game. Although he's gotten little experience from the preseason, now is the real deal, he's up against the best of the best, against players like deamar. Also to mention coming of an injury, he’s just getting back into his own game. He just hasn't hit groove yet so it's absolutely fine and expected that he doesn't "look all the way like himself ".

I watched the game while walking on the treadmill at the gym last night. Man the hype around this kid is real... it's so obvious hes still trying to get healthy and he looked incredible in that 4th quarter... I had no idea he could shoot 3 pointers like that. The pelicans are by far the most interesting team in the league right now. With ball, hayes, Ingram and Zion the ceiling on this team is off the charts.

Dom Hopson you didn’t see the game, he didn’t look great, you could tell he was not totally in shape which is understandable because you’re being put in the nba in the middle of the season in your rookie year. He was good, he really was just shooting threes that were wide open.
@domhopson6095 жыл бұрын
@@josh0766 no bro i watched it whether he was out of shape or not but to come off an injury (possibly still injured) and to still put up 22 pts is great for a rookie in his debut season no matter how you slice it
@josh07665 жыл бұрын
Dom Hopson he’s not injured they would not have put him out there if he was still injured. Yeah it was good but if you look at the totality of the game he didn’t look great. Part of that is on the pelicans he really couldn’t get into a rhythm with how they were playing him

Zion needs to look at d-rose and take lesson from his career marred by injuries. D-rose looks really good right now because he's figured out how to hold back his tendency to be explosive yet be effective by better developing his mid-range game .

3.5 miles times 82 games not including the playoffs. Plus a lot more movement at a faster pace. Basketball is much more physically demanding than Soccer.
@dylanmutongamutonga92245 жыл бұрын
Not really, a basketball game lasts 48 minutes. A football game or "soccer" is 90 minutes. You have 4 quarters in basketball plus timeouts and a half time(enough restbite for a top athlete), in football theres only one half and no quarters and thats after 45 minutes. Plus 3 subs allowed in a football so i think "soccer" players use more energy
@MsTriggaTre5 жыл бұрын
I have played both, you get way more tired playing basketball... especially if the game is intense, constant back and forth full speed running and jumping, defending/boxing out. Basketball is more demanding

@rjg71125 жыл бұрын
Easy to imagine a Hall Of Fame career for a healthy Zion. But fitness and durability are the first two ingredients of greatness. By these two measures Zion is anything but great. He's been great at being injured and winded late in games so far. I could see the potential for being an injury bust last year. The college season is less than half an NBA season, with games 40 minute, rather than 48 minutes, games. Contrast the start of Zion's professional career at age 19 with Charles Barkley. Barkley started his NBA career at 21 and played in 65 or more games for 12 consecutive seasons. Zion at best will get in 38 games, I believe, at age 19. Players at his size who start out careers injured typically get injured more as their careers progress. Unless he drops some serious weight, he is likely to get more injured as the time goes by.
