Pratima's father should not feel bad at all... to the contrary!!! He and his wife have shown Pratima what an honest days work is... shown dignity... This extraordinary young lady is a reflection of her mother and father... they both have been very successful... obviously... Mr Sherpa, you and your wife should walk proud, and feel GOOD, for the example you have set for your daughter... and the wonderful life you have provided her!!!!!

I am sure Pratima cannot read these messages. Which, if true is a shame. I am obsessed with golf like Pratima. But I have never seen anyone so appreciative of what they have, when most of us would have said that she had nothing when we first started watching this video. It is true that she has everything because she has great parents. I have no doubt that she will succeed and get her parents out of that little shack. The people of Nepal have potentially a great ambassador of golf in their own back yard and the fact they do not try to help her and give her the opportunity to compete against other women is a shame. Women do not compete against men in any other sport anywhere in the world. Also, I cannot tell you the name of one famous Nepalese male golfer. I am rooting for Pratima and the worldwide golfing community to change that and show the Nepalese what true courage and tenacity in chasing your dreams looks like in their country.

I just want to point out... "Adventures in golf" found her first. Erik Anders Lang played with her when she was not known... A nobody. Do not get me wrong, I am glad to see her getting the recognition she deserves on a bigger platform, like ESPN. However, I will always credit the finding of her skills, to the "Skratch" KZbin channel. I hope to see Pratima win a LPGA Major one day. Would be something magical, like a perfect storybook!

The producers of this charming little video would’ve hit a home run if Miss Sherpa had won the tournament; but she didn’t. To imply that the trip to the US played any part in her finish is a little deceitful. I seriously doubt that she got off the airplane from the US and walked to the first tee to begin the tournament. Her current home makes her far more familiar with that course than any of the other contestants. She lost fair and square to better players. This “bumpy greens” business does dishonor to the winner.
