Carson really had the game of her life when she needed it most.
@cperry7267ANBFPro Жыл бұрын
Carson set the tone for LSU in the first half. She was unconscious. Without her shooting, giving LSU a comfortable cushion going into the second half, the game result may have been different. Actually, I think that Carson or Morris should have been MVP, and not Reese. Reese is a power on the boards and "put backs" but she is really like Draymond Green of the Warriors which means she is a good player, but it is the other players who provide offensive fire power. Also, I am a neutral fan but Mulkey can really coach even though a lot of people were trying to stain her reputation regarding the Brittany Griner situation. I think that she has successfully blunted that criticism.

You’re not stopping Caitlin Clark from making her 3s, but we did close that paint completely down! Those extra points she usually gets in the paint would have put her over 40! But I think she only had one shot made in the paint all night. Defense wins championships! Geaux 🐅s

Great game! Jasmine Carson was hot on those 3s, and Angel was great as usual for LSU! The entire team was amazing, and fired up to win that championship! Clark was the usual, great one-man show for Iowa! Unfortunately, it takes an entire team fight to win a championship game. Congratulations to LSU Tigers!
@SYD_89 Жыл бұрын
Everybody was so focused on Caitlin Clark that they never gave LSU a chance. So happy for these young ladies as most of the country was against them. The Sports networks (ESPN) were so quiet during this game. All they focused on was the milestones CC achieved and not one word about how LSU came to play! Full disclosure!!! I had SC taking it all!

Because women's basketball has NEVER seen a Caitlin Clark before ever! We've seen good women's teams before. She was Steph Curry with a ponytail, so you have to understand why. I mean the better team won, but the best player is always the focal point. Nobody in women's NCAA basketball is generational except for her, that's why....

Yeah…..you can tell the announcers and the network wanted Iowa to win, but LSU had other plans. SC could have been here, but their guard was the only one who showed up to play in their loss to Iowa. Happy for the LSU coach and enjoyed a competitive tournament overall!

I was rooting for Iowa, but I must tip my hat to LSU for how their supporting cast to Angel Reese stepped up hugely, especially that bench player who matched Clark's 3 pointers. Unfortunately for Iowa, their supporting cast to Caitlin Clark couldn't step up to contribute. Clark can only carry the team so much, especially after the physically and mentally draining game against South Carolina. Iowa's Achilles heel of depending on her too much to score was exposed today.
