Pittsburgh Pirates should be on the list. No championship since 1979, a handful of playoff appearances in the past 30 years, bottom 5 pay-roll in baseball, owner doesn't care if they win or not

The one thing that keeps them off of this list is the stadium is often mentioned as the best fan experience in baseball and maybe even in all of sports. For all their shortcomings, going to a Pirates game is very affordable and enjoyable. They also have one of the few must-see players in Paul Skenes. A bottom-10 franchise, probably... not bottom-5.

Honestly I don't think the pirates are top 5 in their own sport. Yes they're bad but there are just teams that are worse than them. They are definitely right outside the top 5 for the mlb and on a general sports list would definitely fall top 15 maybe top 10. But I ask do you really believe the pirates are worse than the Marlins, White Sox, A's, Rockies and Angels? Because I don't.

They are wrong about Sirianni's play call. Michael Wilbon, Mina Kimes, Dan Orlovsky and Keyshawn Johnson all said they should have run the ball on that 3rd down. Even ESPN Analytics gave the Eagles over a 96% chance to win the game if they had run the ball on that play. Fire Sirianni!

To me, the Buffalo Sabres have to be on this list. Haven’t won a playoff series since 2007, missed the playoffs every year since 2011, has an incompetent Terry Pegula meddling with the team, drafted bust after bust, the players that leave are living their best (Ryan O’Reilly and Jack Eichel, for examples), and, of course, no Stanley Cups for a franchise that has been around since 1970, and no Finals appearances since 1999.

Well their last playoff relevancy was from 2013-2015 but since then obviously very disappointing. They at least have multiple championships with five world series wins with the last one being in 1979. So if you want to look at it from the last time they won a title then it's been forever lol. As a Pirates fan they have no doubt been a disappointing franchise OVERALL since 1979 though for sure. But I don't think they should be in the top five. They at least have more successful history than the other teams on his list.

as a Mets fan there is a very legit excuse: money. Parking and concessions are so expensive that it's tough to just say you're going to go on any specific night. Now it's more of a pick and choose kind of deal where people will have to pick certain games they want to attend and leave it at that. Because like even if you do go a bunch you gotta either have to have a lot of money to spend or you'll have to do some planning ahead in terms of getting there by train and bringing food. I think we'll see more people this weekend in a huge weekend series vs a rival then on a weekday game against a team already eliminated from the post season.

I go when I can (I’ve been to 6 games at Citi this year already and I’m going this weekend) I just can’t go all the time and I think a lot of fans are just in that position now.

*PLEASE READ* as a hornets fan, we should be # 1… no finals appearances, not a single playoff series win since 03-04 (I was born). Our biggest star ever is an undersized point guard (I love Kemba, but we’ve had so many chances to get all-nba talent in drafts). the GOAT became the worst owner in basketball. we have the worst single-season record of all-time. Charlotte is such a great city, and we deserve so much more. My biggest fear is that I get old and never get to see my city win a championship in ANY SPORT.
