I had to do a double take when I first saw 76K in print. 😮😮😮. What world am I living in where the lady who is most likely going to single-handedly increase WNBA viewership by at least 25%, and increase overall WNBA sales by about 20%, is only worth an average of about 83K her first four years in the league? I get that rookies have to “prove themselves first” before they get the “big contract”, but the league already knows its viewership and overall sales are going to increase a lot this coming season even if CC only averages 15 pts per game. As a rookie, she’s gonna be given some leeway and patience to not be expected to be an All-Star this season. Michael Jordan played in the NBA a solid 6 or 7 seasons in the 80s before he won his first NBA Championship in ‘91. Greatness takes some time to develop.

There are two extremes here, and both are unrealistic. I love CC, but she won't play 38 - 40 minutes like she did at Iowa. I think around 10 points and a few assists will be reasonable. She will need to adjust. She will be great in a couple of years though. Her range and passing ability will absolutely translate.
