Watkins is extremely inefficient for the hype she's getting, and I'm a neutral fan and didn't care who won. She may be the 2nd leading scorer in the nation but efficiency matters and she just finished the season shooting 39.8% for the year and 36.9% for the tournament. Of course her fans will somehow find a way to deflect this, what will it be? That she's just a Freshman? Bueckers on the other hand shoots near an extremely good 54% that's crazy good for a guard.

Watkins is a freshman which means she will only get better with time. She didn’t win the National Freshman of the year by being mediocre.

@@chrissya9994 Her stats look good until you look deeper at her efficiency, shooting 39.8% isn't even mediocre that's just plain bad.

@juwanharris5425 you do realize people call AI a shot chucker right?
@doki2267 ай бұрын
@juwanharris5425 Numbers mean a lot though, you simply can't ignore how inefficient she is. Averaging 27 points on below 40% shooting isn't good, she simply jacks up a lot of shots in order to get her points because she misses so much. So congrats on her for breaking the record but I'm honestly not impressed by it.

@@doki226Stats doesnt always tell the story. JuJu shot selection is bad yes but shell grow out of that. Larry Bird led the NBA in turnovers a few times but hes not known for that. Her FGP doesnt tell the story either

Poor coaching from USC. Auriemma wins because he knows how to coach.

So North Carolina State and UConn men & women's basketball teams made it to the final 4.

i missed the game but this showed 17 minutes of bad defense from USC. They took too long to get their offense set. They get confused on screens. @9:40 Juju is obviously bringing up the ball & Kayla is sitting there waiting. so now you have 1 trojan down court & 3 behind Juju. It’s aggravating to see. Also juju should never have went 8 minutes without scoring.

This was never a topic of conversation among players in games I played, but there were certain floor details that made a difference to me. Two of the main things for me were I preferred a lighter-colored floor because it made the playing are brighter and visibility better, as a result. Some of the gyms that I played in were so dark that I had to wear night-vision glasses during the game. Secondly, I preferred floors that weren't cluttered with too many lines. Too many lines were a distraction to me. The reason that I mention these things is the floor in this game. After all the controversy over the different 3-point lines, there were assurances that the problem would be fixed for this game. It does appear that the 3-point lines are equal now, but I didn't expect there would still be a gap between the paint and the 3-point line on one end of the floor. I expected both ends of the floor to be even, at least from the 3-point line in.

The highlights are not going to show the blatant refers who favored USC. After the first call against Muel, I saw her go over to Geno with her arms out like, there was no foul. The announcer even said something to the fact that there was no foul. Geno being the class act I've always seen him to be probably told her, we have to play thought this. And the class act that is UCONN did. As aggressive as this game was the first qtr showed with 2 minutes left that UCONN had 4 fouls to USC one. I saw UCONN getting banged up under the basket and never a call. UCONN would get ahead 10 points and the ref started making bogus calls. They called 3 fouls against Nicka that she never committed and at least 2 against Edwards that she didn't commit. UCONN had to play against the 5 on the floor and at least 2 of the refs. Paige got elbowed in the middle of the floor and the ref I noticed making bogus calls against UCONN was at the perfect angle to see the foul yet put his head down and ran the length of the court. He did that on purpose so he wouldn't have to make the call. I'm glad UCONN won this game. I'm glad they beat USC. Personally USC should be embarrassed because at least 25 of their points came from this one ref.
