That last game the Celtics were up 17 points, then all of a sudden Curry started hitting ridiculous desperation threes and they continuously went to the foul line. I think the NBA wanted to send a message that the Celtics were beatable at home because it was their first home loss. Make no mistakes, son, this is a much better Celtics team than the ones the Warriors got lucky two years ago in the NBA Finals. However, if you are a Warriors fan, you need not worry because they will not make some miracle run to the Finals this year. It will most likely be Boston and Denver.

Here’s a guy who hustles, embodies great defense, is a team player, but, he choked in the clutch moments in the playoffs. Celtics almost lost game 6 of the NBA eastern conference finals last year because he threw up a ball he shouldn’t have. Derek White bailed him out with .9 seconds left. I’ve never wished bad for Marcus, but Jrue Holiday has been a great addition to the Celtics.

Jrue on the bucks was a bigger, stronger, more efficient Marcus Smart. They were similar defensively, but Jrue is better offensively, especially avoiding turnovers and shot selection.

I have no worries about the Celtics in the Playoffs. They have gone deep in the Playoffs almost every year for awhile now, and what hurt them in the playoffs were some of the same mistakes they made in the regular season. As long as there's no major injuries and the Celtics keep playing at this level, they wont get a playoff series I'm worried about until the Finals. The Celtics have corrected the problem that has been plaguing them for the last 5 seasons. The only teams that have a realistic shot at beating them in a 7 game series are the Clippers and Nuggets. In the east, the only team that could push them to a game 6 and possible 7 is the bucks if they can finally figure it out. As it stands right now, Celtics are easily the favorites. I put a grand on them to win it all a month ago at +250 and I'm feeling pretty good about it right now.

The Clippers have James Harden, and he will ruin things for them, like he does for every team he plays on, before the season is over. I worry about the Nuggets, and actually the Warriors, as they just seem to have our number, even though they aren't even 40% of the team they were 6-7 years ago. I don't worry about anyone in the East. I'm not sure the exact problem you are referring to that plagued the Celtics for the past 5 seasons, or so, but I'll tell you what the main problem was. Failing to win with any consistency at home, especially in the playoffs. We've been a much better road team in the playoffs, for years now, and that alone is what doomed them against the Warriors in 2022, after stealing home court advantage after Game 1, then being up 2-1 after winning Game 3 in Boston, before losing three straight, and two of them in Boston, to lose the Finals. Then last year's total choke job against the mediocre Miami Heat, losing 3 home games in that series. Had Game 7 been in Miami, we would've gone to The Finals, and had all 7 games been in Miami, we would've won 4-1. But this season, aside from the two disgraceful losses to the Lakers and Clippers, the Celtics have been much more like the Larry Bird, Mid 80s Celtics, at home. Assuming they continue to dominate at home this year, there's no chance on earth, they don't raise Banner 18 this year. And by the way, the Celtics have won ALL of their titles in ONE CITY, and don't have to count titles won in another state, like somebody we know.

JT is playing extremely smart this year imo. Last year I think the mins caught up with him. With this team I think he feels more comfortable taking stretches of games early and allowing and Brown to work their games and he conserves his energy for the 2nd half and stretches where he needs to carry. Lol great now, but come playoff time haha😂 I have my doubts with this team actually winning the championship… sure they can beat and thump teams by big numbers through sheer talent. But I wanna see them be able to overcome close games when their 3s haven’t been falling all game and be able to close out late in a game, then they’ll be unstoppable. Their late game mentality and ideas still very questionable, I have a feeling it’s the coach.

Whatever Perk says or thinks of the celtics, it doesn't really affect this current celtics team. He can praise them or not, tell what JT or JB needs to do or not. At the end of the day, Perk ain't playing no more and I don't think any of the celtics players watch or listen to any of his takes. They're just another distraction.

I don’t know what game Perk saw, but I saw this game, where Tatum didn’t do crap to Luka. Luka lost because of the awful lineups Kidd put on the floor and the horrible play by his team mates. Luka 37/12/11. Tatum 32/8/3. Maybe I saw a different game from Perk.

@@jayden2148 Luka is one of those stars whose teammates can play like crap and he’s blamed for it. When he and Kyrie both scored over 25 for the last 7 games, no one gave him credit. When he and Tim scored over 30, no one gave him credit. When Tim, Kyrie, Maxi, Exum, and Jones brick wide opened shots, everyone blames Luka for it. That’s Luka’s reality.

First rounds picks aren't worth much for win now teams. A late first round pick won't move the needle. You'll potentially get a decent roll player in a few years. Stars don't have a few years. Trade that first round pick for a bonafide roll player now. If you want to bang with Jokic's, Embiid's, Giannis', AD's you need depth at center. You want to wait to pull a Wiseman in the draft? be real.

The east is the weaker conference? Really? How? The records of the top teams are all in line. I don't see a weakness. The only reason some east teams seem to have is that they play the Celtics more. Like the Knicks have 3 less wins than the clippers, but played boston 2 more times this year. If we want to get micro about it the clippers are 1-1 vs Boston and NYK are 0-4.... that's the difference in their records right now. Boston hung 3 more Ls on the Knicks. You could do that with most teams in the east. So weaker conference? Nah, they just play boston more
