Kings fan here, and this move is sadly needed. Ever since Christie took over as head coach, the Kings have looked a lot better, and Monk has looked like the heart of the team, NOT FOX. I think Fox knows he's out, and he's been playing like it. He's looked lazy in every first half this year and only tries when the refs/other team get him riled up, and he only turns it on in the 4th quarter when he feels like it. Keep in mind the Nets are one of the teams in the rumors, and he dropped 30 against them last night and went 6-20 the night before and 7-24 the game before that. The Fox era is over, and I accept it. Monk and Sabonis are the real stars of the team right now. If you don't believe me, look at the stats of Monk and Sabonis compared to Fox this year. Also check out the Kings record and stats when Monk doesn't play.

@@camicawber people also overlook that the Kings had the most 16+ point blown second half leads of any team in the NBA last year. 2023-2024 season. it wasn't until Huerter was injured that forced Mike Brown to play Keon Ellis and Ellis going on a tear that helped the Kings limp into the Play - In round. Mike Brown's disastrous coaching simply continued into this year and the front office had their last straw. It amuses me when a national story happens upon the Kings and suddenly ESPN and TNT and all these talking heads have NO CLUE about what is happening in Sacramento but they seem to enjoy spreading rumors and baseless theories. Last year the same media machine had Monk leaving, but he stayed. I wouldn't be surprised if Fox stays, however when he missed a few games from his hip injury, the Kings actually won those games and looked fine. They just need someone else off the bench since Huerter is MIA.

I'm okay with people called experts giving their opinions, but these panel give their own opinion without having knowledge of the situation. They need to watch what is happening with the team right now. The team is playing much better when Fox is off the floor. They should check the +/- of the key players. Fox is padding stats this year. He plays defense only when he wants to. He doesn't pass much. He forces his shots. Yes, he is a highly skilled player but right now, he is playing for himself and not for the team!
