Comparing Mahomes to Brady feels so appropriate because there's a great argument to make that, regardless of the individual skill, that he wins so much because of the coach. As someone who notices how much coaches take the blame when a guy like Trevor Lawrence or Baker Mayfield doesn't play as well as expected or how much credit the coaches get when a guy like Brock Purdy or Jared Goff excel in specific situations I'm certainly not going to sit here and pretend like Andy Reid isn't a huge reason for the Chief's success. He's the best coach in the league in the Mahomes era the same way Bill Belicheck was during the Brady era. We may never see Mahomes have to play without Andy but so far, I'm sharing the credit. There's no other reason you can explain to me how they are undefeated despite Mahomes having an average level season. He's having game winning moments, sure but he's only even in position to have those moments because of what the coaching is doing all game long.

Totally disagree. What made the Manning vs Brady rivalry is the fact that in the early years, manning was winning the MVPs and Brady was winning the rings. The postseason rivalry didn't become legitimate until the colts won in 06 AFC championship game. Mahomes has just as many regular season mvps and 3 more rings than Lamar.
