@@jamesmadden3629 as a Kentucky fan, i'll explain what he meant by the Quote. He was referring to how our former coach would react to every game we would lose in crunch time every single year instead of talking about the lack of in-game adjustments. Calipari year after year would give the same excuses and this is one we would hear every single year probably 6 or 7 times a year.
@coopersdad36Ай бұрын
Lifelong UK fan, but Cal and the one and dones had "done" me in for about the last 5 years. I had quit watching, quit reading about the team because is was the same story every year. Best class in the country, picked preseason to win it all, lose 5 or 6 SEC games, lose in the SEC tournament, early exit in NCAA tournament. Cal at press conference with the same old excuses. Mark Pope has brought back what college basketball is about. This team brings tears of joy to my eyes just watching their highlights. It's so great being back. We don't have to win it all every year, we just have to fight for the BBN and that name across the front of the jersey and that's enough for me!
@Jase-ul5yiАй бұрын
You lasted longer than I did. I stopped watching UK just a few years into Cal. I hated the one-and- done thing and could tell he cared more about getting players nba ready than winning. And nobody would listen. Good to have a coach who cares about the school and the program's great history again

Next year we possibly have some one-and-dones coming, are you gonna feel the same? Or will you be supportive, since we have a coach that can actually coach these kids. Not being arguementive or bashing any coach or former players. Just want your honest opinion.

Down by 18 points at one point, and trailing by 16 at the half with your starting point guard out and then you lose your back-up point guard with 9 minutes still left in the game, forcing your 6' 7" shooting guard to be pressed into point guard duty, and you still walk out of the building with the "W", that's a statement. Kudos to Jaxson Robinson for running the point flawlessly for the final 8+ minutes of regulation and the 5 minute overtime period for the Cats. He made intelligent decisions handling the basketball and if I'm not mistaken didn't commit a single turnover. Great win for Coach Pope and the Cats! Well done indeed!

@@cliffordhill2365Lol. That has nothing to do with IQ. IKE was literally giving the buisness in the paint all night. Nembhart couldnt hit a shot until late in the game. They were trying to play him tight anyways. It could've went to either one. He just missed his shot.
@cliffordhill2365Ай бұрын
You're laughing out loud? I bet Mark Few isn't LOL and wishes he had tried something else. If your center is Jokic, you want the ball in his hands because he can do it all, Gonzaga's Center isn't on Jokics level and you saw what happened. Mark Few didn't have the IQ to recognize things

@danielward8645Ай бұрын
Your last comment isnt actually true. Kentucky is among the nations leaders in points in the paint and shooting percentage at the rim. We’re not really a back to the basket team and aren’t going to be. Williams is a solid role playing big man at this level. He can score on dump offs and lobs and put backs. But he doesn’t have much in terms of back to the basket moves. Carr is a little better but he prefers to start with the ball a little away from the basket and faced up. But we’re going to get a lot of points at the rim regardless off back cuts because teams are terrified of Brea and Robinson on the perimeter and just us getting hot back their in general.
