i'm really old school but it is pertinent to this day. The Old "Green Bay Sweep" worked because the minute details that players had to follow from that nemesis of the north Vince Lombardi. Execution requires clear, concise and correct details that have to be followed... Even on those 'screens" if you can't get a wide receiver to block properly what's the point of calling the play???

Fields is where he belongs backup to Wilson a QB1
@Voysh2Voysh698 сағат бұрын
Fields rookie contract was about to expire and the Bears were NOT going to pay him $25+ million per year on a new deal. Just let that fantasy go. The Bears were gifted the number 1 overall pick and were able to handpick their next rookie QB to reset the financial clock. QBs make WAYYY too much money per year these days. The Bears were not going to give up the number 1 pick AND ALSO overpay for a QB (Fields) who hadn’t yet proven himself as a franchise QB. If it makes you feel better, Caleb will also be shown the door in a couple years if he doesn’t prove himself either. It happened with Mitch. It happened with Fields. It’ll happen with Caleb if he doesn’t turn things around.

@saychicity540915 сағат бұрын
@16:00 Justin Jones was the starting 3T last year, and Dexter was the backup. Dexter isn’t as good against the run after Jones was and the now backup in Willam’s or Pickens are worse than Dexter was, that’s part of the run defense issue.

Many of us have been holding onto the notion of the Bears being a wild card team in 2024, and/or being a 9-10 win team. Those are just numbers. When all the smoke and noise clears, if you genuinely call yourself a playoff team, then you have to be competitive against a team like the Packers. If you you have 'no chance' against the Packers then you aren't a playoff team. Plain and simple. If you can't beat the Packers/Vikings/Lions at least once, then you are not a 2024 playoff team, and don't deserve to be in the playoffs. Playoff teams do playoff things.

Floser needs to go. This guy is a D coordinator that's it. He has not ability to pick a coaching staff. Poles has to learn to draft Olinmen and stop paying big money to non-playmakers. Not just Nate Davi but Edmonds is not a playmaker and Sweat is starting to be just a player for the amount of $$$ he is getting paid.

Let's put on our reality hats here, when it comes to "people's livelihoods". Waldron was getting 2M a year from the Bears. I don't know what the Seahawks were paying him, and maybe it was only a million (but it would be so unlike the Bears to overpay anybody, ever). But let's be real frank here: These guys' "livelihoods" are hardly at stake. They make huge multiples of what the average US worker makes, and it makes me sick to my stomach to listen to this "woe is he" BS. Yeah, okay. Now Shane can't buy that 3rd vacation home in the Poconos. Oh dear. What a tragedy! If Waldron survived at some semblance of his current salary for say, three years, he would out-earn 95 percent of Americans over their entire lifetimes. So, crocodile tears, here.
