Florida gave Billy an 81 Million dollar football facility, doubled his recruiting budget and gave him more money to pay assistant coaches than any other HC at Florida has gotten. The problem resides in Billy and the way he has handled this team and the AD Stricklan that constantly makes bad hires. P.S. our collective signed more deals last year than any collective in the country so that can’t be blamed either.

This talk about facilities and NIL etc is nice but it's a future problem. Current issue for Florida/FSU is that the guys on the field right now just aren't playing hard. Facilities and NIL don't make you an unprepared, unmotivated, heavily penalized team. There are programs doing a lot more with a lot less.

While Napier and his coaching staff are terrible, Saban is correct that most of the UF football administration, including the AD need to go. They didn't invest in the program until the 2020s. They were slow and ineffective with regards to NIL. Administration has outdated strategies and structure.

Norvell is due to using the portal and not developing enough talent in the program. Napier is due to not developing talent. Another reason is the Florida based talent has lacked in offensive line recruits turning into top prospects at D1 level. The state is over recruited by Big 10 schools as well as others across the country. They’re no longer landing the best players in the state, which is problematic for both programs.

Coach Napier is doing all the right things and is moving the Gators down a road that generates success. The problem is the Administration and their horrendous decision making. The Head Coach position has become a revolving door which kills since Urban left. Billy is a really good man and coach and Coach Saban continues to sing his praises; after all, he knows Billy better than anyone. Patience and football intellect is called for now, not a new coach.

Someone needs to travel to Athens this upcoming week and remove the tampons from UGA’s OL and DL. I hope they’re not afraid to play ALA like they were against KY (you read that right - - - KY). Several notable weaknesses I saw last week: Offense - perimeter blocking was atrocious - OL’s physicality non-existent; KY DL was throwing our OL like rag dolls - Lack of Communication - when Beck doesn’t have time to set his feet, he’s an average QB. His Heisman chances are null and void. Opposing defenses recognize this as well. Defense - Rush defense remained in Athens while game was in KY - Poor tackling Strengths Special Teams

Saban is 1000 on the NIL/Collective and fundraising. Facility improvements. Stricklin has been an abject FAILURE in pivoting and changing. His hiring has been backward looking not forward looking. Stricklin has ZERO vision. Saban is also correct that the powers that be at UF needs to decide if they are blue blood and be committed. Napier is a huge problem but leadership above him has done far more damage. They’ve enabled mediocrity and excuses. It could take a decade for UF to recover from Stricklin incompetence and Napier failures. Changing the HC will only address a symptom.

before someone comes here defending Mullen, yes his first 3 years were great, but year 4 he was TRYING to get fired.
