Thirteen other teams scored more points on Clemson than Notre Dame did ( including 2 FCS teams ). Eight other teams gained more yards on Clemson than Notre Dame did and 3 other teams held Clemson to less points , including crummy teams like Boston College. To all these people complaining about Notre Dame saying they don't belong and either Georgia, or UCF should have been in. Well first off Notre Dame was Undefeated. Second off, Georgia had two loses. Third Georgia lost their bowl game which equals three loses. They couldn't even beat Texas the same Texas team Oklahoma beat. Now lets talk UCF! UCF lost to the same LSU team Notre Dame beat last year in the Citrus Bowl! Plus LSU was without most of their star players against UCF, the same star players that lost to Notre Dame last year! Clemson is just a really great team. Also the game was really close up until half time. Notre Dame's all american defensive back Julian Love got injured and Clemson took advantage. Notre Dame needed to play close to a flawless game and it was the other way around. Clemson got all the luck and they got all the calls! Notre Dame should have gotten that fumble on the kickoff and we are talking a different game. It would and should have been closer, but Clemson is that good! So yes Notre Dame did belong, but yes Clemson was the better team!

They would have given better games, but that's the problem with the Playoff is that the committee has no choice but to put these teams in just like with Michigan State and Washington a few years ago. Newsflash: If a team is a two TD underdog to its opponent like all four of those teams were, they probably aren't one of the 4 best teams, but those committee members have no choice because they have to be consistent with the criteria they said matters. They know Notre Dame wasn't better than Ohio State or Georgia.

Norte Dame safety getting hurt made the score worse than it probably would have been. No way Norte Dame would have won this game but I think the score would have been like 20-3 if not for that injury a Clemson victory. Know we will see if maybe the best defensive team in college football can compete with Alabama who probably has the second best defense in the country and probably the best offense.
