A lot of talented players just don't have those clutch nerves and are highly affected by pressure on the big stage. I hope the kicker is given a chance to recover.

Yeah because in reality it didn’t effect the outcome of the game. They still won… He knows they’re going to need him at some point in the future, and that he can learn from this experience. Mark my words- this young man will hit a Game Winner at some point because of this, and win them a game they wouldn’t have won otherwise. God wants us to have each other’s back, even when they aren’t the one that “won” that exact game. We’re in spiritual warfare all the time. We need everyone to win the war, a game, is just one battle, not the war! Why do you think Jesus tried to show Peter he loved him, even after he denied him 3 times… This is the definition of being self aware, and understanding that the good of the whole- is far more important than the glory of the individual. Especially, in the long run! This is a bright moment, in a dark world! This is how Men are to behave. Jesus would be proud.

@@Austin-jj2kk And not one bit of cuss in’ outa that crowd... or even a racial slur! Go cougars! From a BYU alum, lived in the Salt Lake Valley for 30 years; then back to my original home of Florida; where there’s plenty of Cougar fans... But of course my best Cougar memory of all was asking my father in law what he thought scalped tickets at Cougar Stadium would be. He said “Let’s find out!” ($50 each, East side, 29th row) My father in law is gone now. But, at some random time, he or I would pop that random question; “Hey, what’s the best $50 you ever spent?”
