I'm not a Liverpool fan but I'm a Madrid fan and it honestly shocks me how much Liverpool fans and Carra disrespect Salah. The only 2 players with +10 goals this season are Haaland and Salah. Salah has 6 assists, Haaland has 0. The first player to reach 15 G/A this season, no other player has more than 12. 30+ G/A every single season since joining Liverpool. Currently most assists in the UCL. He is 32 years old and looks as fit as ever. I love watching Liverpool video's. Every video he's in his teammates joke with him, listen to him and admire him. Szobozlai wants to play forever with him, Robertson and Tsimikas have their own healthy tradition with Salah. He's about to catch Henry and Lampard then he can aim for Aguero and you guys want him out? He represents everything from the Ronaldo-Messi era. Incredible workrate, insane output of passes and goals (because that was necessary during their reign, to be noticed) and he rarely wants to see the ball going backwards, he only moves forward to the opponent's goal, tries to stay on his feet and wants to motivate the rest. The guy is writing history for your club. How many times has he saved you guys this season and all previous seasons? The most important thing is winning and that's what he constantly does. I mean you guys gave Milner a contract at 36 right? We gave Modric and Kroos a contract due too their effect in the dressing room which Salah also has because the guys look up to him and see him as an inspiration of consistency and how he takes care of himself. Incredible that imo the best player in the world atm, can't even get a single offer from a club which is supposedly different from a cold hearted business like club like Madrid. He contributed 67% of Liverpool's goals.
@stefan57303 күн бұрын
Modric and Kroos got one year deals ever since they turned 30. Also getting their salary slashed every year. Salah probably wants a gigantic 5 year deal. Perez would show him the door just like he did to Ronaldo, Ramos, Casemiro...
@IscoMadrid-fd7fy3 күн бұрын
@stefan5730 But that still does not make sense to me because Salah's statistics over the years are insane and he takes incredible care of his physique. Age and physique are not the factors here. Besides the salary, there is no reason to get rid off him. He's arguably the greatest PL winger of all time and he's hungry to move up in the records. They did not submit a single offer whilst most consider him the best winger in the world right now. Sure, if he's asking for ridiculous wages then its impossible but Salah's age has nothing to do with his output and workrate because both are phenomenal. He currently has a better start of the season than he had 8 years ago (which was his Ballon D'or like season). Its ridiculous not to keep the guy. Who will give you, what he gives you? And how many times has he saved Liverpool this season? You don't get rid off your best players when you're competing for gold in multiple competitions. Believe me, getting rid of the guy will backfire massively. When Casemiro went away, it was time for him to leave. When Ronaldo and Ramos left, it was their time to leave. Mo Salah is 32, the guy has been in his prime for 8 years and he isn't slowing down. Kroos and Modric were mainly there to guide the youth and instill that fierce Madrid hunger mentality in them. How is Salah any different? His effect in the dressing room and for the team chemistry is also massive (or at least that's what I see in the LV shorts and video's) where younger guys are looking up to him. The guy is a new version of himself, time for a new contract.

Welll… for instance. If he was on Madrid at the time do you think he would have beat benzema the year he won. I can tell yo the answer. No… cuz oh yeah he placed 5 or worse that year and clearly your forgetting the fact that there’s a world of other players that he would need to to be (and he has never done that once inside arguably the most hyped league in the world) and on any given year… someone out preformed him. Maybe he deserved 1… maybe even an almost two… but that’s a long way off five. Do you realize the level of players who’ve won and only managed it twice…. Like… legends…. And even those LEGENDS and still 3 off of being tied with Ronaldo. So no sir I’m not off my meds… I’m just not an idiot…. Also… did you watch this video. Did you notice how… for the most part ppl half thought hey… it may indeed be possibly that van sink is in fact the more important member. And they’d be right. At least as of right now…. A defender usually get better with age. Sure you get a lil slower but you make up for that by just marking your man a little less closely. On the other hand as salah now ages and his legs go that is going to effect his game WAY more. He has been and is a speed merchant. Yes he’s talented and technical too but he like mbappe In a way are speed demons. Well … when speed demons age they literally never gotten faster over time… so… I think you could just as easily and incorrectly say Virgil if at Madrid would have done the same thing…. Stevie is spot on. Salah is already on $424,000 per week at Liverpool without an extension. But Salah signing a new contract at 33 to begin next season could massively distort the wage bill at Liverpool and set a financial precedent at the club that they want no part of. In short, Liverpool do not want to become the financial equivalent of United. I.E.-signing players to bloated contracts on weekly wages that are far above fair market value. Which then makes it incredibly difficult to offload players in any sort of timely manner because the players don’t want to give up their wages and no other club will take the players on their bloated wages. Salah himself is not the problem. Rather it’s the financial precedent he would set because other Liverpool players will inevitably want to increase their own wages. Which would collectively drive up Liverpool’s wage bill at a rate that the club’s higher ups have diligently worked hard to keep at very effective levels for years.
@Ruscococo13 күн бұрын

@Ruscococo1 His playing ability is not the issue at all. As Stevie very rightly pointed out, this is purely financial. They have no clue about the history or legacy of the club. Liverpool have had great players come and go, Keegan, Dalglish, Souness, Rush, Barnes, Owen, Torres, Suarez, Gerrard, Mané, Firmino, and more, but the club remains. While I want Salah to stay, It’s not about the player; it’s about the club. Ultimately, the custodians must prioritise what’s best for the future of Liverpool Football Club, not any individual player. If we can’t afford the salary Salah wants, so be it. The last batch of Liverpool contract renewals were NOT done by edwards and that broke that structure and gave the big name players guaranteed high salaries and more conventional bonuses... Now that Edwards is back i feel he's trying to revert back to his structure and the players agents are not having it. Its not that no contracts have been offered. Its just that the negotiations between the club and the players agents can't get close. (agents are also looking out for their guaranteed higher fees). FSG need to step in and overule Edwards to make exceptions on at least Mo and VVD. I doubt Mo is asking for more. Its more about the structure of the contract.

Mo saying he hasn't got a contract to sign, is because he has turned down LFC's offer/s and equally I'm guessing that LFC have turned down Mo's requests. If a player wants to play for the club they will and they will make it happen. Mo's public displays doesn't mean it's going to happen. No player is bigger than any club, but no player/manager will ever have the respect and gratitude that Sir Kenny has, so Mo you will never, ever be Kenny but you will be a wonderful LFC player remembered fondly by all. Sir Kenny was always more than beating stats, he was and is the heart beat of LFC

My first go is look at his injury record and how consistent he has been. If that is not enough to convince Liverpool, they will end up bitting their own tail with this game they're playing. No one has been able to replicate his goals over the last few years.

It's not about whether FSG will do the re-contract renewals. its about which top player John Henry is going to sacrifice to get the money - Darwin Nunez. Thats why even tho he is doing much better than jota and haven't even played much in the begining of the season, many "fans" channel are already on to him wanting him sold. FSG knew when hiring Slot where he will explain in detail how he plays football before being hired and found out that he plays our Strikers as a decoy often and will affect their GA like Jota who only had 2 goals in 7 starts. So FSG saw this opportunity early on and activite the PR team to smear Nunez and flip him for around 80m to 100m and use that money to pay for the re-contracts and the rest goes to a young cheaper "potential" replacement while we are forever stuck with a injury prone Jota as our squad depth. But the PR team is having a hard time trying create a case against darwin when we can see more evidently the decoy strategy as the season progresses and coupled with jota's extremely bad GA so their only excuse is that he cost us 80m. And we haven't even touch on the lack of wage competitiveness compared to the top club market. Just go and have a look at the average weekly wages especially those Squad players range. it's terrible - elliot, jones and diaz is horrifically lowly paid. Look at Arsenal and City and man utd, we are way off. Those fans channel painting a picture like FSG is anywhere near sincere should be ashamed by now. Buy Low sell high racket. Shady businessmen. 14 years of bad decisions is not a coincidence and everywhere you can see fans have had enough. Even the inner circle of ex players gatherings and people who worked inside the club all have negative things to say about the ownership. This is not about just the re-contracts, the FSG hatred has been building up for a very long time and if henry knows any better that its better to GTFO when nobody likes you except maybe PR, certain paid sky sports explayer and numerous fans channel. you can't have your cake and eat it too. its disgusting.

⚠️Liverpool MUST give Salah 3 yrs then sell him to Saudi in the summer for $200m 🔥

It sucks, but Trent might have to go...Salah and VVD are top priority and are Liverpool's best players at the moment. They have the squad to win the big trophies in the here and now (and in the next few years if their current form and similar results continue in the coming seasons under Slot) and Salah is simply not replaceable. It's just unfortunate that FSG do not feel like bringing out the checkbook for all three world class players. Salah is priority №1, if this form of his continues over the next 8-12 months and Liverpool win the Premier League and/or Champions League, he will be at least in the top three if not winning the Ballon d'Or outright.

Is this an Aubamenyang or Pirlo and CR7 situation? Judging from his consistency, professionalism he looks like he will play at high level for at least 2-3years. And if that is the case then giving a 3 year is worth it for a player who gave so much to the club.. Liverpool need to give him a creative offer of 250k but also contingent on his performances to reach the 350k he’s on now. This would give him the incentive to continue to perform

I love both Gakpo and Diaz....so far they haven't replaced the contribution that Mane had ...a player that was almost never injured and a guy who scored goals and even showed up in the big games.....that side....age is an inevitable thing....at some point we need to accept a player may have to go.....even Barca at some point had to let go of Messi.

Is Steive on FSG's payroll? FSG had all this time to find a replacemet for Salah since the last contract negotiations where FSG and their minions in media were making samelame made up excuses like 'pay structure' .. Salah is old etc. As if the live in a different world from rest of football that liverpool players can't access. Now they are in no position to be stingy when they dont have anyone even close to Salah's level ready to replace him regardless of his age. FSG should let go of Liverpool FC. Its clear they don't have the ambition to win trophies.And be perfectly fine with getting top 4 with no trophies.

besides the current players who are out of contract in the summer, what about a player like Gravenberch who has been massive for the team. He has actually saved the club a massive amount of money by stepping up & he'll be looking to be rewarded with a new improved contract soon. I'd offer Salah a 2 year contract with a 3rd optional if his stats in the 2 years are impressive.But the wage?

Attackers win games not defenders. You can't win if you don't score. And about the money. If they keep them and keep qualifying and win the premier league they'll make twice the money back

Hislop saying that Salah's 3rd year being "a lot to absorb", if he isnt playing to a high enough level... No, it isnt. You have to consider the comparative elements when you're making this kind of statement. How much value have Liverpool gotten out of the money they have spent on him/paid him? He's still performing tot hat level too, it's not like we're just being nice to him. We're risking losing his world class ability, over a final year that likely wont be world class level, but may actually still be? Crazy line of argument.

Steve is totally WRONG. He's just a paid pundit... It would cost MORE MONEY to buy a new right winger and pay his wages for like 5 years than giving Mo Salah a 3 year deal. And, I guarantee you he won't be able to replace half of Salah's goal contributions in the next decade!... Salah is simply a generational player who only comes once every 15-20 years.
@Slayavcados3 күн бұрын
It’s easy to answer does Liverpool have a replacement for Salah and how much will he cost ? Same question for VvD ? Same question for TAA ? If it’s going to cost more to replace each one and there is no replacement identified yet, then unless they want to miss Champions League next season, they should decide on these contracts now. End the suspense.

Fact is just as Kelleher and Bradley have proven great understudies so to Doak could be or Elliot for Salah, so sell TAA and Salah. But who replaces VVD no one so keep VVD he does not have to run as much he would be great for two years more. Sell TAA and Salah get 150M or don’t but safe 600K week that’s 30M year over 3 years that’s 90M recouped in salary expense at a minimum.

Stevie thinks it's about money. It is about the duration of the contract. Salah wants at least three years renewal, Liverpool doesn't want that.
