Rookie??? The first fight was in 2016, Pereira started pro kickboxing in 2012. About 20 fight before facing Israel the first time. Also it wasn’t a narrative when it came to the first fight because till this day people still thought he won that fight. The jugding seem more bias to a heavy pressure fighting style (Dutch kickboxing style) then to an evasive style that Izzy has that slips and rolls with punches and kicks. It hard to find the scorecards for that but I remember hearing on the judge was a former kickboxing with a similar style to which Alex had at the time or was more open to that style of fighting.
