Internet trolls will inevitably mock Lukaku for attention. But he is an absolute mismatch advantage for Belgium and a nightmare for opposition defenses. In all seriousness, he objectively looks like the most dangerous and effective number 9 at the tournament. His ability to single handedly lead the line, hold up the ball, bring his team up the field, and consistently create dangerous opportunities for both himself and his teammates is immense. Internet trolls, pipe down. Your comments trashing Lukaku are not only entirely predictable but demonstrate your lack of football knowledge. Lukaku is a beast.

@@MrJosdp Well 2 out of 3 were off-side though and yes it was off-side with a mere few centimeters but those have been disallowed correctly. The so called hands-ball one though... that is VERY discutable. Overall you are right though, people say he can't scorebut at the same time he is the all-time topscorer for Belgium.

Absolutely agree. Lukaku has 3 goals disallowed in the first two games. One of them was not for a millimeter offside, it was for “handball” by Openda who provided the assist (wrong decision anyway, but that’s another story).

Belgium seriously need to focus their next few trainings on finishing. The defence looks like they will give away goals against better sides but if they can up their scoring ability they can outscore any opponent even if they f up in the back occassionally.

​​@@unboxing4319 Yes, but all 4 have the same amount of points, so head to head becomes void because each team beat 1 and lost against another. (eg Slovakia should be above Belgium but below Ukraine according to head-to-head, and Ukraine in turn should be below Romania, who should also be below Belgium... See the problem?) Romania still is first place after matchday 2 because of more goals scored than Belgium and equal GD, but Belgium has a good chance to win the group if they beat Ukraine in the last game. (unless Slovakia also beats Romania, because Belgium lost the head-to-head to Slovakia)

So for them, match against Ukraina was a miracle, they try to take away team's merits where clearly was a win! I strongly hope Romania will prove them wrong just to enjoy their biased faces after Romania goes very far. Just my hopes.

Why is Lukaku so unfortunate. He is my favourite striker after Lewandowski and I love the way he holds the ball and shruggs off defenders with his physicality. He is quick, good dribbler, and very good at finding space.

Romania were solid today. The unlucky first goal changed the entire match but they still could have equalised and even taken the lead.

The problem was which the team manager also pointed out; was our fast attacks, which though created dangerous attacks and opportunities to score, gave a strong counter-attack for Belgium who has much more faster players. That wasn't the only problem, Belgium was more motivated to win than Romania, if they didn't they would have been out of the tournament. Also the Romanian defence was much weaker today than it was with Ukraine, and in my opinion Iordănescu shouldn't had played Mihăilă but rather Hagi. Over all, Belgiums pressing was too great. Great job belgium

The standings at 3:35 are fully wrong, romania scored more goals so far, so they are on no 1 currently. Really poor game analysis as well, no mention of any players from one of the teams (team that is leading the group), but to put up wrong scores is just embarrassing.

Mehn; I watched the full match and I think Romania is a team to beat... Their captain was awful losing the ball several times and their quality in possession is not very good But those guys don't stop running and so direct; they out ran belgium by second half If belgium had not scored first, it would have been a very difficult game So yes; I believe there is a possibility if they learn to not concede early

I am from Romania and Romania never played so open like this. Big mistake. If Tedesco messed up Belgium tactics in the first game with Slovakia, now was turn for Iordanescu Jr. to completely miscalculate the possibilities of Romania and leave us completely exposed. First he messed up the team by replacing Coman who was helping Bancu on the left wing of defense, with Mihaila who never come to help the defense. Mihaila also never did anything in the attack, just wasted opportunity after opportunity, but thats another story. From Bancu mistake Belgium scored the first goal. And second, he just tried to push the team to the attack and pressing knowing that this will leave even more space to Belgium to score even more goals on counterattacks. A total fiasco. Belgium is very good team already but if you messed up even the tactical plan then you will be a 100% victim! This is 100% on Iordanescu. Maybe he did a test to see how Romania will play attacking if they meet a better opponent in the in the round of 16th. Now he knows. Total fiasco. Romania don't have yet the quality of the players to play like Belgium! Or Netherlands. So he needs to park the buss and counterattack when he has the opportunity. There is no way around it with the players quality that Romania has today.

​@@adrianstereCan't sit back when you're down a goal. Romania was inevitably going to sit back as long as they could have. Even 1-0 down, they still only had 30% possession in the first half. Tedesco then let Romania push up and exploit them on the counter in the 2nd half and it worked.

@@bobbobson9952 I don't think Tedesco did anything later. Iordanescu change the tactical positions. Also Belgium could not keep anymore the speed of play of the first half. I saw even de Bruyne at some point in the second half make a sign to colleagues to slow down a bit the tempo because he couldt breathe almost. Because in the first half Belgium was play like crazy speed and effort. Well, if Belgium will keep that speed for 90 minutes they will win EURO. At the end they could have win easily won but they could also draw. That's the beauty of football. Because Belgium usually creates plenty of chances to score but only 30% are finished with the goal. Lukaku is crazy solid. Is so difficult for any defender to take on him. The guy is like a tank!

Nah, defense isn't amazing, but that's a bad take. Only 8 goals conceded in the last 16 games ( only 5 from open play ). Vertonghen is old, but has loads of experience, other than him, alot of young talented defenders. Only Faes isn't really reliable, i'll agree on that.

What nobody talks about: second goal should never been allowed. Anywhere on the pitch: when you make a clean tackle on the ball and afterwards still hit the opponent player: the opponent player always gets a free kick.. de bruyne shot on goal: but after the shot he hits the keeper on his leg with a straight forward tackle.. and suddenly its allowed to hit an opponent after playing the ball... sorry but this is not following the rules by refs.. as we see happening in numerous games.just facts.
