As third generation supporter of Atlético all I can say is that Simeone takes his time to squeeze the best of each player. When he makes (not the club) a personal bet for a player, and that's Conor case, you can be sure that the player is only going to improve. @Mr_Sasquash Of course it does. Conor is not a technical player and you wouldn't rely on him for a defence-splitting pass a la Enzo Fernandez but he can cover a lot of ground and presses really well. That skill set is of top division quality but it wouldn't be enough for him to start in Maresca's style of play.

I think it is his demeanor thats a bit unenthusiastic but he has given some nice anecdotes here, for example when he was asked about difference between simoene and other managers he played for, he said, simeone treats me like a grown man while that wasnt the case before, which players in gonna say that stuff these days lol, so not a boring interview imo.
