The midfield hasn’t been up to par since Slot implemented his system and I think that is due to Slot’s system being so drastically different from Klopp’s. But it’s also because most of these guys thrive in a system that is more on the attacking side of things rather than the possession side of things. They don’t need heavy metal football and injuries to be an issue again but I do think Slot needs to allow Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Salah and everyone else the freedom to move around more to allow them to have more attacking opportunities.
