Great interview. I just started following him on Twitter and one of his tweets talks about exit triggers being just as important as entry signals. My strength has always been entering at the right moment but often I sell too early. So going to put more emphasis on exit triggers going forward in my trading by scaling out and holding very close to my profit targets.

So far on of the best podcast with one of us Retail independent traders . I found myself in many descriptions but this time very deep . Very descriptive scenarios with very specific keywords ... Yes loved it . A very good example of discipline once you have a great setup or 2 and stick to it once is tracked and provides exponential growth edge with minimal risk. Great interview! I heard Brian saying he was using TOS but given his main strategy is shorting penny stocks that wouldn't be accurate. While its great to look at "R" or having a price target, I'd love to hear how he could even estimate a price target on recent tickers like SPI, WWR, VVPR, AGE, PECK,, PPSI, SUNW All of these tickers have so much volatility with unforeseen price action and movement I'd love to know if there is some secret sauce to knowing what may or may not happen.. Companies who need $ and have a history of offerings is documented... But how could anyone explain say JKS for the last 20+ days with no down ticks... from $20 to $63 in the last 20days
@BrianLeeTrades4 жыл бұрын
I use TOS as main charting and lvl 2 from my various brokers. Estimating price target comes down to mean reversion as I stated + backtesting and std deviations much like Anthony Riley's interview you'll find on the channel. Not all patterns play out, price action is king. Supply/demand.

"what am I looking for in this chart" Answer this question has been the hardest thing for me in trading. My best biggest problem is that I see every condition as opportunity. Somehow I can rationalize every entry and I can find patterns to back up everything but it's just shit entries with shit exit and no strategy. I know my weakness therefore I can try to fix it one by one.

Try to systematize your process so that there is data backing up your entry and exits vs. our emotions. Look at something long enough and you will almost always rationalize a decision
@LargeBanana4 жыл бұрын
@@BrianLeeTrades That's true I know that my problem is the lack of data from which I can derive what am I actually trading so that I can start looking for things to trade systematically. Journal is key IMO and yet my journaling game isn't strong enough.

@@LargeBanana Quit journalling, it's useless. You're supposed to have a specific, objective plan before you open a chart and not deviate from it. If you're journalling it means there were some things outside of your plan that caused you to send an order. Your strategy should be driven by data from the past and supported by objective evidence, not your thoughts about a chart or 'opportunities' to make money.
