I love this track. It's the perfect amount of "mixxpop" with just a sprinkle of twist and turns, but not veering off the road, just plays and variations on the main theme. Man oh man do NMIXX sound great over a groovy track. To me, this is Dash part 2, but better. It kinda sounds like some mid 90's/early 00's instrumentalist boom bap like DJ Shadow, Dan the Automator, and DJ Krush with a strong emphasis on heavy drums and an organic bass sound. It's really funny to me that both NMIXX and NewJeans came out somewhat recently with tracks that were heavily influenced by the greatest era of hip hop, but while the NewJeans songs ("So sweet" and "Supernatural") were mostly about old school hip hop dancing/break and boogaloo, it kinda made it difficult for them to perform the songs vocally, because they are moving so much. You can tell that while NMIXX's choreo is intricate, it still leaves them space to be the great vocalists that they truly are. So, I'm really excited to see them perform "별별별" live.
