I've been using this setup for about a year now (but instead with the suppressor frames). Absolutely love it. I will note the gasket kit makes them very front heavy, so if you don't have them under ear pro or with the elastic band, they will fall off if you look down or turn your head too fast. I use ear pro, so when using the elastic band, where the band connects to the frames it will push uncomfortably into my head. So I just use my ear pro to secure them. All in all, I wish these glasses and a mesh mask were my first investment into eye pro. Would have saved me a lot of money, time, and fogging! (This video actually was the turning point for my switch, so thank you!)

@snippy515 that's awesome to hear! And you are welcome. Good eye pro is an investment a lot of Airsofters seem to try and skimp on, and it is a mistake. Great info and comment!

Thanks I've just bought some RX Inserts and these, think I might buy the gasket to fix and support it more to my face, mainly since the little connecter in the top middle keeps unclipping hopefully the gasket will keep them in place 😅

Awesome review! How would you compare them between the Oakley M frames with gasket? Looking to switch to glasses for indoor games, coming from dye masks. How's the fog situation after a year?
@Muddy_Reviews Жыл бұрын
They are pretty comparable to the M frames with Gasket. So for my fogging has been pretty minimal but not completely gone. I like these quite a bit as the fogging Inhave experienced is mainly due to me being a sweaty dude LOL. There is also the option to add a fan set up to these.

Gotta hard disagree about the gasket stopping a bb reliably. Ive been shot in the eye recently (it sucks) and went on a quest to find the best eye pro. I picked these up and was kinda under whelmed by the gasket. Pros, they fit well, are built great, great design. But the gasket itself is far to flimsy to stop the 'perfect shot'. Chances are low it will happen, but it does happen guys. The gasket is just little to easy to push through on the bottom. If you have really high cheek bones this might work really well.
@Muddy_Reviews Жыл бұрын
I appreciate the comment and viewpoint. I don't have that issue with the gasket at the bottom, so that is interesting and something for people to consider. If we are going to talk about the 'perfect shot,' then pretty much any eye pro short of a paintball mask will have some area that could have that 1 in a million failure point. Great points, though, and definitely adds to the conversation and is something to weigh before using any new eyepro.
@pilgrim357 Жыл бұрын
Yea the perfect shot is rare but sure sucks when it does happen. I think it's important for people to try different eye wear and find what works best for there face. I like the crossbows, they look cool, wish the bottom gasket was just a stiffer. When I got hit, it went right at the top of my glasses and just squeezed right in. Instant blindness for like 2 weeks. Did recover though. ESS turbo fans are really cool, I bought a pair and it's what I'll use for pickup games. They have a built in fan to fight fogging.
@Muddy_Reviews Жыл бұрын
@@pilgrim357 completely agree eyepro needs to be tried out by everyone and you need to find that perect set that is going to work with your face shape and type and will be the most effective and fog the least. glad your eye is okay man and that one in a million shot is never great but a risk we all take I guess.

@Muddy_Reviews3 жыл бұрын
Not terrible so far but I haven't used them in the summer yet. But as far as sealed shooting glasses went they stayed pretty clear and I'm a sweat hog..I fog EVERY pair of eye pro I wear. These have been far better than most.

@Muddy_Reviews8 ай бұрын
it's a toss up man,I would personally use just shooting glasses but that was kind of an OG way of doing stuff. If you can get and run the gasket I recommend it.
@Ben-ci4bz7 ай бұрын
Do they fog bad with Gasket on?
@Muddy_Reviews7 ай бұрын
Yes and no, so these have a venting capability, and when that is able to remain open, it stays pretty well fog free. If you are in a VERY humid environment, they will fog without some sort of decent Anti-Fog. However, these are still one of my favorite eyepro with a gasket because they don't fog as bad as other full seal eye pro I have used.
@vladimirantoniodamiantobar98912 жыл бұрын
Are compatible with UNIVERSAL PRESCRIPTION (URX) INSERT?
@Muddy_Reviews2 жыл бұрын
According to ESS yes, but I don't wear glasses so I can't independently verify.
@AllinWhenPlaying Жыл бұрын
Geometry of those glasses was not designed by a moron. If you trace them in any 3d modelling, you can clearly see that unless someone would be putting a replica on your face and dislocating glasses with the muzzle, there is no solution/vector for the BB to hit an eye, even if it passes the gasket, unless your eyes are bulging outwards. One in a million shot, where a BB pushes the gasket away and goes in, would need to be shot from the back, and either from above or below, which is theoretically possible. The BB would indeed ricochet inside the glasses, but since the glasses would be hit from the inside, majority of the force would actually be spent on pushing the glasses forward and away from the face. Now, this happening, depending on the Jules the BB would carry, would either keep pushing the glasses forward until the energy would be spent, and take the glasses off someone's face, and the BB would keep moving with the glasses - or if the glasses would be fixed/had a tight strap the ricochet would happen earlier, before the glasses would travel forward a significant distance. In this case, the shot would bounce at about 90' into the nose - as any other angle is impossible, why? Because this is the ONLY angle where the BB has a chance of move through the gasket, instead of hitting the frame of the glasses or the user's temples. This is because although the shot would be at about 30' to the body, the lenses has a curved and would deflect it at 45'. Additionally, as the lens is curved the initial hit would slide inwards towards the center of the glasses, most of the time. So yeah, in the absolute worst scenario (as 1 in a billion things happen) it would bounce around and would either hit the nose (most likely) or WAY less likely hit the eye with a nerf gun strength after double bounce on elastic material inside. Great video man - and as you said, best glasses.
