Oh, I no I understand nature, but sometimes it is difficult to view this plucking and pecking behavior. I realize that "usually" only one will survive. This is not every case. There are exceptions. The first egg to hatch usually has an advantage. The hummers, on the other hand, incubate eggs to hatch within hours of each other, usually two eggs. Thus, less dominance. I appreciate that you post as we need to value and understand nature's activities for survival. Thank you. 🥰

Did tHa Booted Eagle practice delayed incubation technique on tHa first 🥚? Most Eagles do so there isn't much size difference and competitiveness equals out. I've only seen tHa oldest Eaglet do many P.S., but haven't seen tHa youngest do any at all. Why does Mama take off so much when food is delivered non stop?

Hey Jana! 😊 I happened to catch this nest live six months ago. This was the first time I witnessed the death of the little fluffer from siblicide (bonking) 😥It really broke my heart in two 💔 The nest construction was a very real problem here. The little sweetheart couldn't physically escape the aggressive nature of the first born🙏 I understand how brutal mother nature can be 😥 Sending blessings your way my friend❤️

He is a great provider bringing lots of prey into this nest, although his mate seems to be eractic and not a very good meal planner/provider! I'm still trying to locate any video clips where Dad is feeding his Eaglets(they are not in chronological order by any means) I saw it was mentioned in tHa first video I watched.
