I used to love the Essence lip liners, back in the day they were all like the ones in the video and you needed to have a sharper that they sold, which is something that after a while started to bother me 😅but they lasted for a good time from what I can remember and you are absolutely right when you said they are a bit dry, the originals ones were a bit dry too, now I'm so used to the new ones that you just have to twist and sometimes they have a tiny sharper in the bottom, that I don't see myself going back to the other ones, but the colors are so beautiful in this advent calendar, once again I'm in love with the eyeshadow palette, over all it looks very cute ✨

Maybe it’s showing your pores so much because you applied your highlighter so far down on your cheeks? :)

@@_leonora__7776 That plays a part yes, but I always apply like this and they were more emphasized than with other highlighters. I think it was mostly the way it lay on top of the blush

LOVE YOUR REVIEWS but ...something wrong with the camera, the ''MAUVE shades'' look (on swatches and lips) brown (RUSTY even) especially the lip pencil! The liquid blush is NOT MAUVE colour either , it looks corally-darker brown-nude. MAUVE is the closest to cool purple, many toned down cool toned, muted fushia lip shades are called MAUVEs but never warm dark nudes or corals

@@edithobrien7118 hmmmm okay.. I'd say the swatches are pretty close to reality in color on my screen at least. To me it's more of warmer mauve, definitely a pink-ish tone to it. But I also understand how it could be described more as brown. I do think if you would swatch a terra shade next to it this would look more pink

Also colors pull darker and warmer on me because I'm fair and neutral to cool
