I miss Hepp already. He is one of the reasons why I love the dons as a club. Ever since I was 3 and went to my first match, I pointed down to the ground and asked my dad who the guy with the big hair was (he had dreads). Dad said he’s the captain, Dyson Heppell number 21. I am now just about 13 years old (with a bday the day after Matt Guelfi) and he’s been my favourite player ever since. I cried at school today when I saw my dads message asking if I heard about Heppell yet. Idk if he gets it a lot but I always call him Vacuum cause of Dyson 😂 Love u hepp 🫶🖤❤️

You selflessly stepped up and helped so many people throughout your career but probably more so the stella help and guidance and support you gave during the clubs darkest days. I hope ya know mate that no matter what criticism some may have had of ya game the last couple of years or what ya said after a loss. No one ever questioned your love for the club or the effort you put forth each week and most importantly we all think the world of ya. Made a good impression on me as a young man and you're probably one of the few reasons i kept watching footy over the last few years of pain. I hope the boys can pull some really good performances out of their ass the next couple of weeks and give you the send off you deserve.
