This film was a real eye opener for me. It gives just a taste of what it's like in truly deprived neighbourhood that I haven't seen equaled until 'City of God' 'Boyz N The Hood' is a truly great film that, along with 'Do the Right Thing', I watched many times through the 90s.

Will you be talking about The Breakfast Club sometime in the future? This film has always been fascinating and touching. It is relevant back then and now!

@@JuliaMinervaRhodes You're talking about a film that is 28 years old. It's not going to bring in as many views as a video about, say, Black Panther.

Boyz in the hood is very intense passionate tale of inner city America but I won't put it in the same league as bicycle thieves or 400 blows .

This movie had a good story, but the acting and dialogue was terrible. Laurence Fishburne did well, but the rest of the actors didn't do well with making me feel the emotion.

PapaGeorg10 just because the actors are good now doesn’t mean they were good when they first started. What @goat said was a fair statement. For most of the actors, This was either the first movie they were in or it was the beginning of their career. I think It was also John singletons first time directing a movie which I think comes into play. Overall I think the actors did well but it definitely wasn’t the best.
